Then make that player ineligible to touch the ball.Totally agree on the last one. Dumbest rule in all of sports.
You can't just rework how out of bounds works on your other point though. It's a one in a million exception that it helps someone keep possession after a fumble. If someone is oit of bounds and they touch the ball, play is over.
Why do you think he stopped being a punter? Punters kick botched snaps all the time.
You can't tackle someone in the act of kicking inside the tackle box. That's a good rule, it's for safety. One instance of it not working out how we expected it to doesn't mean we should scrap it.
That is all I am saying...UGA is a extremely talented and very deep team and they would probably still have won a closer game if we had hit those big plays, but to act like they were so awesome on defense that there were no plays to be made is pure.
Remember thinking Shoop was the missing piece.South Florida fires head coach Jeff Scott, the former Clemson star assistant
Bob Shoop loses yet another job.
Do you not care about making the rest of the board feel better?? You could at least do it for Meemaw! @Orangeredblooded
Go back and read my statement again. You are asking a defensive player to read the mind of the player who was a punter who is now a player trying to recover a loose ball. That player with the ball also has the option of running with or passing it. Is the defensive player supposed to stop chasing after the ball, ask the guy with the ball what he plans to do first?![]()
Id be fine with this. Go 12-1 and finish the season with a Sugar Bowl blowout win. Get some momentum for the next recruiting cycle. Honestly id rather blast someone in the Sugar bowl then go to the playoffs and get our heads beat in. We just dont have the talent yet.
Jancek was the better DC
I tend to want to inflict pain and humiliation on some teams more than others(UF, Bama, UGA) more than others..I felt that way about Vandy when Franklin was their coach because I couldn’t stand that jacka**.When it comes to football, I'm a complete sadist. I prefer to inflict the pain and humiliation.
I save the masochism for other areas of life.
Not necessarily, if TCU goes to the playoffs someone has to replace them in the Sugar bowl. If Texas beats Baylor at the end of the season and both lose to TCU Texas is the second place in the B12 and gets the nod in this scenario.Texas making the sugar bowl means tcu loses to them. That'd be suspect if Tennessee didn't make the playoff in that scenario.
