When you look at where they had us we only dropped from 3 to 5 in coaches poll.
We're going to the playoffs! Handle the last 3 games and I think we're in. tOSU/Mich will drop behind us at the very least, if TCU doesn't get beat.

Hopefully this is what the CFP looks like too. They had some weird choices last Tuesday, so I wouldn't be surprised if they dropped us to 6.

If Michigan and TCU both lose. I want the playoff committee to do something different and make it
1. UGA
2. UT
3. Oregon
4. OSU

1. I'd love to see us play Oregon in the playoffs. Would be HYPE as ****. The people would love it and it would bring a TON of money.

2. We get UGA in the natty and get to embarrass Kirby on the big stage

All that matters is the committees rankings. If we are 4, we are in if we win out. History has shown that they don’t move teams out of the top four unless they lose.
I believe in 14 TCU was #4 until the final rankings and was jumped and that caused the Big 12 to go back to playing conference championship games.

There has never been a 1 loss conference champion left out for a non-conference champion.

I’ve liked Duck fans and Oregon overall ever since the “Can a duck pull a truck?” video they put out after we beat UF in 2016… but I’d still like to beat them. That would be a fun matchup.

There is more to this than just football. People and committee members for the West Coast want a seat at the table. They DO NOT want 2 SEC teams again. The BIG 10 does not want 2 SEC reams again and the TV people don't want it either unless it was Ala. It sucks but we had a great chance and if we were to make to the playoffs A LOT of things have to fall in place. Watch how the voting goes this week, if we are any lower than 5 or 6 that should tell you how the voters and coaches think. We are Not the most loved fan base for MANY reasons and the way those in power can show that is with a vote. Watch where we get voted in the polls, that will show what they think of us.

If I told you we'd be 8-1 at this point, but you get to pick the loss. . . would you leave everything how it has played out or would you swap a Bama win with the UGA loss?
I would probably keep the same because I hate Bama more, BUT it’s probably better to swap to get division title and get to Atlanta

Yep. It's much the same with the Heisman. There's a bias among those making decisions/voting. All things being equal, we'll always get the short end of the stick when it's between us and teams like Mich, OSU, Bama, UGA, etc. If they can draw another big market by taking one team over another, they'll certainly do it. We need both TCU and Oregon to get beat while we win out. Even then, I think if the OSU/Mich game is close, they'll still take the loser of that game over a one loss UT. Still, after how things played out last night, we're still in the hunt. UT just needs to get back into form and impressively win out. Should be a lot of fun watching those other games with a serious rooting interest in the outcome. Makes the season's end even more fun. Gotta love college football.

He looked like ass again last night. He whiffed completely on an LSU TD 1v1 and was constantly in the wrong place.

If Kiffin studied our game and LSU's game, he will know the best way to move the ball on Bama is running straight at Henry T. It's been 10 yards every time, and he has that freshman RB and Evans.
No one in their right mind would trade Banks for Tootsie. Why you crying, Toots, it's just business.

I would keep it exactly how it is.

Agreed. Winning the East would be really nice but to get the first win over Bama in 15 years and know that we played half the part of them getting eliminated from SEC championship and CFP and we’re only 1st week into November is prettyyyy sweet.
