It’s not mostly just recruiting. Plenty of coaches recruit well and do not consistently field top 3 teams. Bama recruits as good as anyone and we hung 52 on them. Hate them, but Kirby and Muschamps game plan was one of the best you’ll see

Hooker didn’t play well because of the gameplan. You can’t magically complete passes when nobody is open and you’re getting hit as soon you release the ball
I said it was a good game plan AND they had the horses to execute it. I was also referencing recruiting from our end because of the talent advantage they had. We have great coaches too.

Agreed. We only beat Mizzou by 4 last year. Plus, GA only beat them by 4 this year, FL beat them by 7, and KY beat them by 4. This game may be closer than some would like. If we start counting our chickens before they hatch, the eggs may be taken from our basket.

Team needs to stay focused and take care of business.
By 4 you mean 4 touchdowns right?

Our defense needs to run through the QB there instead of diving at his feet. Force him to make a difficult throw, throw it away, or take a sack. Diving at his feet only gives him the opportunity to escape if they miss.

If we get the chance to play Georgia again, I would love for our entire defense to McGregor strut after every Bennett sack. I don't mind confidence and even cockiness, but his smugness is annoying as hell.
Definitely agree with that

What messed with Hooker was throwing that interception. He can’t dwell on that. Just sling it. There were multiple times we had receivers open but maybe a little tighter than he liked and he just wouldn’t throw it.

I get it you want to be cautious. But sometimes you just gotta let it fly.
We made the coverage look better than it was and several times if he had thrown it, there would have been DPI or DH called.

What in the hell are you talking about? We destroyed them last year..🤔

Why do y’all think a loss Oregon gets in over us when we have played a common opponent, and they were beat by 32 more points than us on a neutral field??? I don’t get this thinking.
If they go undefeated the rest of the way, they'll be a one loss conference champion, with their one loss in the first game of the season. The committee wouldn't look at the margin of victory. They'd look at when the loss was, and more importantly to them, the conference championship, and put them ahead of us. Oregon is not the better team, but they wouldn't care.

Why does everyone all of a sudden think that winning conferences matter? It hasn’t mattered since the beginning of the playoffs. Clemson is out no matter what. I honestly think we are in as long as we win out. The 4th spot will be determined by TCU on if they can go undefeated.
It only matters when they want it to matter, but there has been a push by talking heads to get a PAC-12 team in this year. Not sure if old Gamedays are able to be viewed, but if they are, go back and watch the one at Oregon.

Top-3 talent vs #19?? Naww surely not 😁

We need our scheme to elevate our talent in those games. We had our wide open shots and missed. That's all we can ask for are opportunities.

Jmo but on a neutral field...given those same opps, we make it a game. And in a 1-game series, you never know...
Agreed but I was talking about in comparison to bama

Watching that game getting whooped at the LOS, and everywhere basically there’s no way you can’t say we don’t need more dudes. I mean it was clearly obvious. Faster, stronger etc. they didn’t even have their best defensive player available for the game. Lol. I mean
UGAs front 7 guys are no better than Bamas and LSUs...period. The OL was tentative because of freaking noise and you can't play any talented front 7 on your heels. They were aggressive and played downhill against Bama and LSU and Kentucky and played great. The two games that they have looked like this (other was Pitt) were both when they came out tentative.

There were guys open.

Agree Mizzou is our last best hurdle. But we sure didn't beat them by only 4 last year 😆

I’m extremely nervous about South Carolina. I mean, we are going on the road into the best environment in all of CFB, you know?

Jokes aside, I think we are much better. But definitely can’t count our chickens yet.

There definitely were on some plays, but many of those also probably wouldn't have been clean throws due to pocket collapse.

Also, Hendon is probably used to having very open receivers on 30 plays a game, rather than 5. That's a testament to Georgia's coverage.

Georgia just played their absolute best game. Vols didn't give up and kept trying to claw their way back into it and I'm proud of that.
