It is disgusting...but even I was pissed about the offensive playcalls that never adjusted to the fact that UGA had decided to go blitz happy in this game when they have not blitzed at all this year.

But then it was pointed out that we STILL had guys open despite UGA having that elite defense and we just didn't execute well.

We didnt execute well, but ive been thinking. I think the playcalls are just what this team is better at this year. I think its a personnel thing.
Im in no way saying our guys are bad because they arent far from it, but I just wonder what things would look like if we had Payton or Velus this year. Bru and Tillman are big possession receivers and Hyatt is a deep threat burner. We ran a few today but they werent really getting open, but what we dont really have is a guy who can run a crossing route over the middle and get open, or two guys to send underneath and run a mesh concept. To beat how UGA was playing D thats what you have to do, thats just not really what our guys are best at.

This may have already been discussed, but why was Sampson in the game doing pass-protect on the last play? That's a big moment to have the young guy in, but especially when he's had struggles there.

Edit: Not to mention it was his blitzer that inevitably got Hooker, though DS initially stopped his rush.

Also didn't see much of Small in the 2nd half. I figured the gane script shifted to Jaylen Wright but maybe I missed an injury?

???? You may be confusing him with someone else. He went to ND after UT and developed a bunch of NFL players. He had a good OL at UT. Was with the Bears twice.
