I still can’t quite grasp what’s in front of this team. A win tomorrow and the national title talk becomes red hot. The Heisman talk becomes overwhelming. I’m trying to soak this all in.

A win tomorrow pretty much guarantees a playoff spot and a Heisman trophy.

Was rewatching end of Pitt game. On last play, announcer said “Tennessee believes they are competing to get to Atlanta for an SEC championship - they believe they are that good.“ I didn’t think much of it then, but in retrospect it tells me the coaches were confident all along. Cool to see.

I think they’ve been talking Atlanta since early in the off-season. Seem to recall Hendon referencing at Media days. That’s a big reason why I’m confident the good guys win tomorrow. This team is focused, driven, and confident.

They got rid of him way too quick.

He couldn’t build a high level program. He played well with what he inherited or took transfers. His recruiting is not good enough at a place like UF. Napier may not be dynamic, but he also didn’t inherit a bunch of great players either. Long term outlook was not good.

I think. they shouldve kept him one more year, see what he could do after a rebuilding year. You dont take MS St to #1 if youre not a good coach.
Plus its a lot harder to win championships in football than it is in basketball, in football one loss and your season is done.
