Yeah, every example of how to stop our offense was from a game where we consistently stopped ourselves. I mean, I guess that’s about the truth, but we are way past that point as an offense.

Yup. Haven’t rewatched the game since that Saturday but I can vividly remember a few overthrows from Hooker where if he hits a couple of those we likely win by multiple TDs. Those are throws he has been hitting since. Also the throw that hit Tillman in the facemask in the endzone should have been another TD. That game was much closer to a blowout then a close game but we let it get there… and that was after we spotted them 17 points to start.

That person doing the analysis was correct in stating that Pitt did well to collapse the pocket from the middle and force our receivers wide.. but we still should have beat them by multiple TDs.

Awesome article. Interesting to hear some of these back stories, especially the one about Hyatt and how coaches comments about his weight played a factor in his recruitment. Muschamp probably didn’t mean anything by it, but you have to be careful with what you say to recruits. As we step into a new era of recruiting where burnt bridges could come back and haunt you, it’s important to maintain relationships with players over the course of their college career and leave those doors open. Heupel is a good enough guy where I don’t worry about that sort of thing with him. Another reason why this is the decade of the Vols baby!

Muschamp never knew what a good offensive recruit looked like so this isnt shocking. Hes lucky his college buddy saved him and put him on his staff. Bc he was toast.

I don’t get this thinking about “well now Tennessee will REALLY be tested” because I don’t believe Georgia is appreciably better than Bama (I’m not convinced they’re better at all). They split with Bama last year and are only national champions because they won the second game instead of the first.

Plus, as was pointed out earlier in the thread, I just can’t be intimidated by such a basic team. Red! Bulldogs! Battle Hymn of the Republic! A couple of bushes in the stadium! Well gee, now I really AM scared.

Don’t matter. Vols by fiddy.

That and I think people forget that Bama tore UGA apart in the SECCG because they had Williams healthy (elite speed) and John Metchie, (at least for a quarter and a half) but Bama scored 24 points in the first half on them when they had both of those guys healthy. Bama was also winning the national championship before Williams went down in the 2nd quarter and didn't have Metchie for any of that game. When Williams went down following a 40 yard reception, Bama just lost their firepower on offense.

Out of the loop, he’s that fake WVLT reporter twitter account and Kasey used to be Vol Media Correspondent right? And what did he do?
He posted a fake tweet about the UT AD encouraging fans to wear blackface during the Kentucky game. Kasey responded with a rant against fake twitter accounts causing issues (may have mentioned something about it being racist, not sure) and then someone dredged up a very old tweet when she was in HS that used the "N" word. Someone said the context of the word was it was part of a tweet that quoted song lyrics. In any event, she resigned after that old tweet surfaced.

Gotcha. Sigh.

Ya’ know..every team on our schedule thinks that they’re gonna be that team to stop us..FL thought it, LSU, Bama, UK all did..But we ended up making fools out of ‘em and adding them to our “victims” list😂..Georgia will be no different!!

Vols by Fiddy!!
🎉🙌🏈🍊🧡
It's as simple as getting your cleats in the ground. I bet UGA has emphasized cleat to soil compression all week.
