I didn't say their resume was better than Tennessee. I'm just saying the take wasn't so horrible like you're making it sound. Kansas had earned a better ranking at the time, even if the example used wasn't a great one.

The tweet you replied to said they had a better resume than TN, that's the horrible part of that take.

TN opened the season with wins over Pitt and Florida before Kansas faced a team above 500 (and that was a Duke team with a soft open to their season).

That's the key though. Many of those didn't come here as "difference makers". Most of them were not highly sought after by other teams. But they were developed here. People are talking about us pulling Gibbs type guys out of the portal by the handful. That's not going to happen.

Maybe they weren't difference makers because their coaches aren't developing players like here for so long. I think its awesome that our coaches can make them into difference makers which tells me they had the talent just had to get to a staff that knows how to develop players.

Danny was ranking them #7 at the time well above many other strong teams including us

What happened when Alabama’s defense tried to challenge our offense?

Alabama’s run defense through 8 games is ranked 10th best in the country for yards allowed. If their game against Tennessee is excluded then their run defense would be ranked 4th best in the country.

Alabama’s pass defense rating through 8 games is ranked 12th in the country. If their game against Tennessee is excluded then their pass defense rating for their other 7 games would rank 2nd best in the country.

Alabama’s pass defense has given up 8 passing TDs on the year. If their game against Tennessee is excluded they’ve only given up 3 passing TDs on the year.

Alabama’s scoring defense through 8 games is ranked 11th in the nation. If their game against Tennessee is excluded then their scoring defense would rank 3rd best in the nation.

Alabama’s yards per play allowed on defense ranks #7 in the nation. If their game against Tennessee is excluded then for the other 7 games their yards per play allowed by their defense would rank #1 in the nation.

Some Kentucky fans think they have a better defense than Alabama. Wait’ll they get a load of Tennessee’s offense then we shall see. We shall see. jmo.

Every one of UT's opponents are dead. UK football mentality: "Of course they've won. They only play dead people!"

So, everyone that is wealthy enough to not work, shouldn't? Should all athletes that get big contracts work out the initial one and retire? Are Lebron James or Curry bad fathers? Or is it just football players? What about Manning, Breeze, or Farve? Or are they ok because they retired at a more reasonable age? What about players that go on to be coaches and announcers?

It's a ridiculous judgment. He enjoys playing football. He's on the road for 8 or so games a year. It's not like he doesn't have the chance to see his kids a lot.

I wasn't judging. You asked what the difference was. I gave a solid example.
