The only person who said he fell down the stairs was the defendant. He also said he left immediately and was chased down the hall.

The gf was attending to him on the stairs so he did fall down the stairs at some point. There’s also a pool of blood on them in the pictures.

If they didn’t have Young AND Gibbs, it would have been a an even bigger blowout then 2 TDs. Those 2 carried them in that game, Young especially though.

Don't believe that. Other guy had broken teeth and Jaylen had a busted up hand. No way he wasn't getting arrested.

And most importantly, other guy called police. If Jaylen called police before he punched him he probably wouldn't have gotten arrested or charged

If the gf and Burrell told this exact story to the officer at the time of the incident seems really hard to believe they would’ve arrested JM.

Guess I'd want to read the arrest report. Did the police arrive and the victim was still lying down at the bottom of the stairs in a pool of blood? But then also wasn't the victim the person who called the police? All confusing...

A former KPD officer friend of a couple of us on here, retired earlier than planned recently. He said that he could not continue working for a PD that did not have its officers' backs anymore. He never felt that way when David Rausch was chief, who is now Director of TBI. So I expect more of this type BS until the good people of Knoxville decide to elect better mayoral and council representation, if they ever do.

The officers who did not investigate this incident as they clearly should have, would have been immediately disciplined by Rausch. You always interview any potential witnesses on the spot unless they refuse to cooperate, which is then noted in the report. Jaylin did exactly as he should have done by waiting on his attorney to give his side of things, especially in the current environment.

JMO - Simpson is after money, he was wanting paid for being an azz and causing the incident. He thought they would pay him to walk away.

I am not sure we know that he actually did fall down the stairs. He claimed he did.

Funny how Trey Wallace broke this story. Dude started out essentially posing as a reporter by reposting message board stuff and eventually worked his way up to 34k Twitter followers and a senior reporter job at OutKick.

He literally faked it until he made it.

Reasonably sure he got about 95% of his info on here.

Good luck to this guy trying to convince anyone to believe an individual that has admitted to being so drunk he can’t find the correct apartment over 3 sober individuals contradicting his story. I can’t believe the police even charge JM at this point. Feel like they did zero investigation prior to charging him with a felony, which seems rash at the bare minimum.

Sounds like the police did freaking horrible job initially. Charge someone with a felony over that is a disgrace
