No. We dont need uga to lose to fla. Uga beating fla keeps fla down. We can take care of uga next week. If we beat uga, we are #1 regardless what tcu or osu do. I rather psu lose bc franklin is a goober.

CJH reminds me more of Steve Spurrier every week. He puts players on the field and expects them to execute every play and if that leads to scores, oh well. Even if we are up 45-7. Opposing teams job is to stop us. You have to get these 2nd team players quality reps--not just runs up the middle.

Yeah Spurrier was bad to play his starters until the end though to do it. Heupel is putting in his backups and letting them run the normal offense, so I have less stomach ache about that.

"TN scored 65..." is one headline, but then depending on the narrative the media wants some will point out "Hendon Hooker didn't play the 2nd half"

My brother lives in NW Arkansas and has a co-worker who has a connection to Barry Odom and his wife. Apparently, last year the week of the Missouri game, Odom’s wife said that Heupel texted and said he would pour it on Missouri for them.

Number 1 why do people constantly talk about how weird that Andy guy is while they are posting his videos?

Number 2 why after someone graciously posts some info from t o s ( which I am very grateful for by the way ) someone always responds with $9.95. Just because AP and others can’t say with 100% certainty that info is correct. Think back to all the bits of info we would have missed out on if some weren’t paying the $9.95!

Listening to Joel Klatt yesterday, it sounds like there will be some A&M players looking around this offseason. He didn’t mention any players specifically but did say something to the effect of NIL promises not kept.

I feel like he's our guy...but I am most BVS about seeing what happens once the "new" wears off. Butch just imploded in year 5, Pruitt did it in year 3, Dooley never did anything so not sure it was a letdown or par for the course.

We've had a few things go right this year that's lead to us being ahead of schedule I think. LSU & Florida both falling off and breaking in new coaches...Bama basically coming in unprepared and Hooker being as good as he is and Hyatt having a monster bounce back year. Plus the OL just being so much better than most of us would have expected, no egos or divas in that group either and they are all wanting to win the best OL award. Don't care about individual awards whatsoever.

Bama put up 49 points on us and you think they were not prepared. We're experiencing one of the best years ever because our staff is big on development, not because other teams are down or not prepared. SMH

I guess coach Simpson didn’t see it that way though. Volquest GQ is saying Simpson refused to shake Heupel’s hand at the end. I didn’t see it so I cannot confirm.

Just got caught up on some player threads, I have to wonder why some of these kids aren't more interested in us with the year we're having. AP makes it sound really bleak. I'm hoping he's off on some of his assessments.

As stated by many, this winning season will help much more for 24 & 25 classes. We already have 21 commitments in this class and they’re likely going hard in the portal for at least 5-6 guys this off-season. Plus we always end up signing a few guys out of nowhere.

I thought that was a forgone conclusion, and it seems he's lacked support for his situation in navigating the realt world. I don't want to talk bad about him because he's not all there and it's not something he can control, but I also don't like him having influence and representing us. I've always felt like most of the attention he gets is not genuine, but rather people making fun of him.

He doesn't represent us any more than the tree-killer actually represents Bama. The only people that try to claim that he represents us are opposing fans and any other person with an ax to grind.

(1) They'd find something else if it wasn't Andy. That's what ax grinding looks like.
(2) Forget them. They don't matter.

I am in awe that a bunch of grown people get lit up and agitated because of the actions of an underdeveloped stranger. I'm in even deeper awe that they give him massive attention by bemoaning the attention he gets.

That’s dumb. He just sealed his fate that UT will never pay them again for a game, at least while he’s there.

You’re probably right. UT-Martin joined Memphis as instate schools that Tennessee will never schedule again for the foreseeable future. Not good to burn bridges.

I really prefer that we use our FCS slot to play an instate school each year. ETSU, Austin Peay, TTU, TSU, and UTC can rotate and get UT’s dollars every year.

Well that's a lie completely. They did a quick drive-by handshake, neither was interested in chatting.

Simpson allegedly had some things to complain about AFTER Heupel had moved out of ear shot. But I think these coaches just have to get over it honestly. Heupel is nothing but respectful towards other programs, but on Saturday he wants to absolutely drag your ass, if you let him he'll hang 100 in a heartbeat even if you're the school for the blind/deaf, you sign the contract to come play the Vols you better be ready.

Wasn't it Spurrier that said that it wasn't his job to stop his offense? In the modern era of a playoff committee, style points count. Opposing coaches should expect that better teams (especially teams in the hunt for a playoff position) HAVE to run the score up.

I think Spurrier also made the point that the backups also worked hard to earn a chance to run the offense as opposed to just hand off and punt.
