Good morning Vol Nation!

I had my 60th birthday yesterday. Earlier this year, when my wife asked me what I wanted for my birthday, I told her I wasn’t sure. Mainly because all I really wanted was to see a dominant Tennessee football team, and I knew that it was going to happen.

So here we are celebrating life, and our Volunteers!

Got to play golf yesterday with three good friends. They are all Aggies. They are truly happy that we are winning. When the Aggies first join the SEC, I gave them a tutorial on every member team at the time. They have realized that my tutorial was very factually-based rather than from a Dislike of the other teams… Currently, they are so beat down that they don’t even want to talk about the Aggies in football. I know a lot of y’all think that the Aggies are a cult, but that’s the way we are perceived as well. As a whole, their fan base is the closest to ours.

It was a good day!

It’s going to continue to improve as this Saturday will expose kentucky as they are decimated by our Volunteers.

Happy out the canal day.

Sorry but A&M is still a cult.

The Vols will use the same overall game plan on both sides of the ball they've used all season. We will stop their run game, we will pressure the QB, especially when they are inside the 20 on either side of the field. We will keep receivers in front of us between the 20's and we will take advantage when Levis makes a mistake with the football.

On offense, we'll spread them out, make them stop the lateral passing game first, run on their base front and throw it over their heads when they commit safeties to the wrong area of the field. Kentucky won't stop our offense. They will get yards and score, just like every other team we've played. They just won't get nearly enough for it to matter.

Hoping we see Tillman go for 10-12 catches and 200+ with 2 or 3 TDs. Last year we smoked Kentucky in the passing game with our speed Velus and Payton both having big nights. I think they'll focus a lot of attention on Hyatt and with Tillman back and at full speed I look for him and/or Bru to have big nights.

Could also see Kentucky attempt to drop 8 in coverage and our RBs going off for huge nights. I think we rack up 500+ yards either way, the way Kentucky tries to defend will dictate if it's on the ground or through the air.
Alabama attempted to drop 8 the whole 2nd half….. didn’t work so well

I think Kentucky’s game plan will be just like Florida’s… Go for it on his many fourth downs as possible, and hope to hit on all of them. I think we are going to have some chances to put them away early if we can stop them on fourth down. Remember, they have been struggling kicking field goals, so I guarantee stoops will not take any chances with longer field goals and will just go for it. They are going to challenge us to stop Rodriguez on multiple run plays in a series. Also, look for them to have a wildcat package installed with Brown or Rodriguez as the quarterback, and the other one as the running back.

If they get into 4th and short situations it wouldn’t surprise me if they go for it on 4th a good bit. I don’t know if I see Stoops going straight up Napier and going for it early and often even from his own side of the field though. Kentucky is 18th in the nation at going for it and succeeding on 4th down, so not bad at all in that respect. 9 conversions on 13 attempts. UT is 56th allowing 9 conversions out of 19 attempts. 6 of those attempts were against UF where they converted 5 times though. So outside of that game UT is allowing 4 out of 13 which would put UT at 10th in the nation in 4th down defense. I can see UK adopting a not quite as ballsy as Napier approach to this game and 4th downs. Will need to get some stops when they do.
