SECN just put up up our pt total through the first 7 games. Tied with 2019 LSU.

The other 2 SEC teams (96 UF and 18 Bama were up there too). Of those 3 other teams, 2 of them won it all and the other lost in the title game)

We are getting no help from the Charmin soft ACC and Big 12. TCU and Clemson looking like they will run the table and then get boat raced in around 1 of the playoff.

The media is already going all in on screwing us if we don't win out..including the SEC championship game. If we lose any...we are out.

I will never take wins for granted again. If Hooker has a bad day, the defense keeps on sucking, and they get points on goofy STs crap and TOs...they can beat us.

But...we should win if we play our game. They got a lot of IFs to overcome.


And we have to get by Kentucky first...right now that is all that matters.

Our fans are way too sensitive…. We are 7-0 and just kicked Baja’s azz…. One week later we are all up in our feelings about a couple of idiotic espn announcers.

I’m glad we’re 7-0.We’ve been in the bottom way too long.Now we have a coach that honestly cares about the program and players who are giving their all for each other.Then they beat the darlings of sports media and all of a sudden they say that Alabama should have won the game?I don’t think so.I’ve been disheartened by the lean last few years because I love my hometown university but by golly those players earned that win.Eff ESPN and anyone else that wants to downplay what they did.And don’t treat our fans like some less than human insignificant being.One of our players allegedly put some hurt on a drunk and has not been allowed to play since.All the female student did was join her friends out on the field to celebrate but Burton was afraid?Bulls#!+ !!!

Clemson plays nobody. Unless ND beats them they’ll go undefeated. Ohio state will as well. Comes down to the SEC champ and a battle between us and 1 loss Michigan if we both have 1 loss. If TCU keeps winning that screws it all up. Need TCU to lose to Texas or Baylor coming up.

I had asked how old you were in 1997. The media was all in on Charles Woodson that year for the Heisman. The VOLS had 1 loss to Florida during the season and the media held it against Peyton Manning. His stats that year and for his overall career warranted the trophy but he finished 2nd. Charles Woodson is the only defensive player to win the award but he wouldn't have, if the media didn't promote him like they did.

That's just 1 example. The narrative today was TN needs to win out to earn a playoff spot and the TN fans should not have stormed the field last week because it was dangerous for the Ala players.

ESPN creates talking points and narratives and when they try to make TN look bad, me and a lot of older fans take offense to it. And that was my point. Don't trust the media/ESPN when it comes to the University of Tennessee.

Ok….. thought you were approaching it from a different angle….. I was 24 in 1997…. ESPN did hype up the Big Ten bc that was the conference that they had an agreement with…. It wasn’t the sole/main reason he won though…. Michigan ran a huge Heisman Hype campaign for Woodson… They got him touchdowns via special teams…. As a wide receiver…. Running the football….On defense…. He also had 7 ints including an impressive one against Ohio State.

I follow football like crazy on social media and there are way more pumping us up than being negative against us. We even have ESPN personality Charles Woodson putting out videos showing him lighting up a celebratory cigar in our locker room…. My dad called me today talking about how surprised he was with all the praise Tennessee was getting as he was watching football today. It’s all about perspective, imo.
