I think the plan was to win. We did. I’ll give up 600 yards all day in a win.

We shouldn't have to put up 40+ pts a game to win evert week. I don't know if we can put up 35+ against Ala or GA. Yesterday should have never been close. The offense won't be on every game, they will need some some Defensive

Yes, for now in Y2, that’s who we are. We need to outscore teams.

Tech’s academics would hinder his bread and butter…recruiting. He’ll stick with Jackson State until something bigger imo.
Their minimum admissions requirements are actually not very strict. About the same as UGA. And that's by design since they are both public universities in Georgia.

One weird thing GT does is require every student from every major to pass Calculus I. Calculus I is not a particularly hard math class, but it isn't "color by the numbers" math.

That’s hilarious for Kentucky to stay in front of us! I remember in 2016 being ranked high and dropping numerous spots for winning but looking lackluster. Kentucky wins and looks lackluster, and they continue to move up. Makes zero sense to me. Whatever! We will continue to do our talking on the field!
We will be #6 after we kick the crap out of Idle U this weekend.

I've always heard they have tough academics. If you're an alumnus I bow to your knowledge.

Our defense played a lot better against Pitt. I don’t buy the transitive property here. AR15 just did what Fl QB’s always do against us and he played at his absolute best.

We’re not good defensively, but we’re not that bad either, imo. An infusion of talent in the next couple of recruiting classes along with some portal additions will help a lot

Fair enough, but he already did all of this last season. It's not like he has anything left to prove. The rest is on the D and rush attack. Not in his control.

Give him those elite RBs and defenses and this would be a runaway title team.

Again, I know what his numbers were last year. Let me ask you this, do you believe Grayson McCall was the best QB in the country last year?

The defensive talent committed to Tennessee and interested are coming to play for Tim Banks in Tim Banks' defense.

Having constant staff turnover and throwing your assistants under the bus to deflect blame and keep the plebs happy is one of the mistakes that put Butch in his grave. You keep making your assistants scapegoats when things aren't perfect and your ability to hire the best dwindles.

Tim Banks may not be here in 5 years, but I don't think it would be a good look to push him out (either by firing or running him off). We still don't have a full stable of defensive depth or talent, and again - this defensive scheme is not supposed to perform like Bama and Georgia. It's overly aggressive to force mistakes and turnovers at least until we have the talent the aforementioned teams have to play settled down.

But that scheme is actually inviting to recruits. Lots of playing time early, and playing fast and free. That's fun.
