Gun control debate (merged)

Probably referring to the recent diktat on pistols (typically AR type) with shoulder braces; ATF has reclassified them as SBRs/short-barreled rifles (having a barrel shorter than 16") after years of being denoted as pistol w/brace. Under the NFA/National Firearms Act, SBR's require registration to get a tax stamp using ATF Form 1 and a $200 tax. I think the amnesty waives the $200 tax.

Appear ATF is also requiring DIY builds to be serialized.

Is this in effect now? I thought I read not until Dec ‘22?.

Thanks, did not know that.

I've bid on several things on Gunbroker over the years but have never won an auction.

That's why I've never tried an auction! I use it to 'Buy Now' unobtanium (like the CZ P10-C/optic was a year ago) and have saved a shiny penny on ammo. My preferred local has competitive pricing, so rarely I buy firearms on GB.

I watched that last night. The Cicilline exchange with Massie and the former trying to assert a pistol brace is a "bump stock" once again shows how the very people trying to control firearms are absolute morons.
And why it absolutely matters that the people trying to regulate things should know what the eff they are talking about.

I would love to hear from our far-left members of the legal profession what a judge would do to a case in which a prosecuting attorney presented an argument so obviously ignorant and incorrect.

"What M-16s?"

Box of M16 weapons shipped to couple’s home

A Houston couple got more than they bargained for after buying gun storage cases online. The couple, who did not want to be identified, thought they were buying 100 empty gun storage cases from a military surplus website to resell on eBay.

“It’s just a case, everybody can buy it online,” one of them said.

But when a friend cracked open one of the cases, they found it was far from empty. The couple found at least a dozen fully automatic M16s designed strictly for military use.
