FPI is a fan of the Vols after they escaped their overtime contest against Pitt with a victory. The model thinks they're the seventh-best team going forward, one spot ahead of USC.
The problem, of course, is the schedule: road contests at Georgia and LSU plus a home game against Alabama means the Volunteers would need some big upsets, plural. If they somehow manage to pull off an 11-1 season with a loss to Georgia, missing out on the SEC championship game, they would have better than a three in four chance at the playoff due to the difficulty of their schedule (sixth-hardest among FBS teams).

Either I officially have a new fear or a new hobby. Have you guys heard of "phrogging"? Apparently, it's where someone sneaks into your house and lives there without you knowing. Normally in basements or attics, or in crawl spaces between the walls. So either I'm gonna jump at every strange sound I hear, or I'm just gonna find where @InVOLuntary lives and make myself comfortable....

After CJH’s Vols whip all opponents, he will get a bigger raise and longer contract.

I see at least 5 potential raise situations just this season.

Win the SEC East bonus or raise

Win the SECCG huge bonus or raise

Then the playoffs, well you get the picture…

If I were any coach, I would want my salary to be minimal and for most of my pay to somehow be Capital Gains. That way all my earnings would not be eaten up in regular taxes… but that’s just me.
