All I know is I’m telling everyone that it was a copperhead because it’s a better story.Again I'm not saying you didn't smell it or they don't smell like that. You also didn't quote the expert in the article, you quoted the myth that the expert addressed.
What the herpetologist in that article said was, "This isn’t outright false, but it is misleading.
“I’ve been around a ton of copperheads and I’ve never smelled anything close to cucumber,” Foley said. “I guess it depends on what you think a cucumber smells like.”“It smells different to different people,” Foley said. “To me, it just smells terrible.”
Which is basically exactly what I said. It might, it might not, herpetologist that I know who've worked with and handled them say it doesn't, but senses are all relative.
I think this sounds like a great idea.Hey you want to host a tailgate for me, @OGbabyaviVol , @Glitch, dirty Mike and the Boyz? For the Florida game that is.

Yea I just quoted the myth for the salad punchline honestly...Left the link so folks could make their own opinions.I mean all snakes emit odor that's science but what u smell is more or less up to the sniffer I guess...Ive known a few folks say the same about rhe cucumbers and maybe it's got something to do with plants. There may b3 some plant species draws copperheads in at certain times of the year anyone guess..Again I'm not saying you didn't smell it or they don't smell like that. Was that the co-national champion year with GT?Sad to see what's happened with CU. Finished 11-1 in '94 3rd in AP. I still remember the Kordell Stewart Hail Mary vs. Michigan.
