Delusional is thinking that sending those folks there will help fix the problem.
Maybe not fix the problem. But it does expose the hypocrisy of those oligarchs in MV who voted/wanted/endorsed this to happen. It was business as usual as long as they were close to border and away from the exclusive island. Just a small sample of "chickens have come home to roost"Delusional is thinking that sending those folks there will help fix the problem.
They pay good money to not have these problems. Promoting these problems allowed them to have good money and 1% lifestyle. Crazy how the cosmos works sometimes.Delusional is sitting in multimillion dollar ivory castles , which is exactly what Martha’s Vineyard is made up of and designed for, and saying or thinking the border is secure because .. out of sight out of mind . These people don’t have the same issues that the rest of the country have , and are insulated .

How long before the FBI (F*****g Biden’s Imbreds) raids Abbotts and DeSantis gov mansions? It doesn't have to fix the problem, it has to draw attention to the de facto open border and the deleterious effect on border & primary destination states. Putting the problem on the porch of the Vineyard, DC is the only thing that has made it visible to the country at large. None of them gave a shite about the torrential impact until it was put on their doorstep.
Governors owe it to their state to force the WH's hand, since the president holds the constitutional reigns in the matter.
What do you propose to fix it?
It does, but I feel for the people being used.Maybe not fix the problem. But it does expose the hypocrisy of those oligarchs in MV who voted/wanted/endorsed this to happen. Guess you don't realize your system down south turns most latinos republican. You would have been better off keeping them.

We would be better off if the current administration would actually control the border, abide by our immigration laws that are there for a reason and stop this open border policy. By any other name, that’s what it is. Having truckloads and plane loads of illegal immigrants shipped to MV and other elitist, leftist havens will get old for them too. Great, MV handled 50 people. Oh wow, I’m impressed. Let’s see what they say when it’s 5,000. The Dem open border policies have placed towns and municipalities under incredible pressure to handle the influx of millions. It puts pressure on infrastructure, local police forces and other public services, not to mention safety. Turn about is fair play. Keep sending them! Next up, The Hamptons.
Trump's 'remain in Mexico' policy did more to enforce U.S. border and national security than any president before him, and certainly since. It had the parallel efficiency of managing legal immigration influx, as well as the illegal. Contrary to the left's assertion, completing the border wall and surveillance along it would allow a smaller contingent of agents to manage it because walls work when government wants them to.
Border security is not a game to Americans it impacts; border towns, cities, states or common destinations for them. TX taxpayers spent at least $855 in 2021. AG Paxton: Illegal Immigration Costs Texas Taxpayers Over $850 Million Each Year It is not a game to the victims of human, sex, and drug trafficking. If you think Abbott and DeSantis are playing "games", you're not understanding the playing field. This is a necessary bid to restore order and force the president to uphold his oath and rule of law. What do you think will change if governors don't defend their state against the federal government, that the border crisis will solve itself?
What DeSantis and others governors are doing must be done. Stop calling it a game.
