I can't see who you are arguing with because apparently my ignore list is working well. But if they do not understand the details that you just pointed out then I am going to assume you are wasting your time trying to argue with them.
BelievetheHeup93. Probably a good call to block him. One of the worst since Dobbs4Heisman

Football & Grits Podcast (David Ubben's show)

That number two spot behind Georgia in the East is going to produce a bunch of good games. I think when you look at Tennessee and throw them in the mix. Florida-Tennessee in a couple of weeks, barring something crazy I will probably be at that one. And then of course Kentucky-Tennessee late in the season will be a great one.

That brings us to the Vols.

One the one hand, you have the Josh Heupel situation where it was a very uninspired hire. He comes in and Vols fans are like ehh ok. Nationally, everyone's like "oh you just hired Danny White and he gets the guy that he just worked with." There was a lot of skepticism.

People were predicting a possible disaster year in year one, but they don't get that. They look pretty good, Tennessee brings back a ton, a little bit of hype but not major hype. I live in Knoxville, people were pretty excited here about the Vols.

Tennessee doesn't win these games (talking about Pitt). They drop these games. You know, the close games against good teams that can kind of decide which way your season goes, they just don't win those games. On the rare occasion that they do, they drop a game that they shouldn't later in the year. So we'll see if that happens.

I lean toward buying them. It's about math. You just want to win games. Tennessee is not going to the playoff this year, you don't have to worry about style points. Just get a win. You are 2-0.

You want to improve on last year where you were 7-6. You know how you do that? You start winning games that you didn't win a year earlier, like Pitt. I don't really care at this point, if you're Tennessee, oh how you do it, or what you do, or how it happens. Get a win, and Tennessee did that. It's about putting skins on the wall, and that's where Tennessee's at.

I get the skepticism, I'm not saying we shouldn't be a little shaky on how good Pitt is, and how hard that game looked for Tennessee. But I also don't think Tennessee played that well. That's not the version of Tennessee that we're going to see this season.

Maybe this is my broken brain and how I view things, but I wanted Tennessee to show some grit and grit it out. They were the definition of this surface-level efficient team, but I didn't see the stones. Can they match up when things get hard? And hey, Pitt is pretty good, I still think that they can win their division of the ACC. Pat Narduzzi is kind of like ACC Kentucky where they're just going to make life hard.

Tennessee has flaws, sure. I wanted to see them in a game where they win ugly, and they got off to a terrible start, and they came back. The pass rush got after it, which I know is supposed to be pretty good, but it showed that Tennessee is not just offense. I was kind of down on Tennessee, but I come away from this game thinking "alright, I actually do trust them. They can hang in there and take punches. They can grit it out."

At the end of the day, Pitt is a good defense. Hendon Hooker, Cedric Tillman, Bru McCoy - they still did really well against them. Proved they could make those throws against teams that know how to cover it. So yeah, I do think they're going to go into SEC play and hold their own. I think 8 wins is realistic.

There's not going to be a lot of teams that can take away Tennessee's run game like Pitt. Hendon Hooker didn't play great, he played ok I though, and they still won that game. They still had a solid performance so, again, Vols you're 2-0, you literally cannot do any better, you didn't play very well, you went on the road and beat Pitt, you're 2-0, take it.

He's not wrong. That will be a big hire for Danny one day.

I tried to listen to them before the first game probably for the first time ever to be honest and had to turn it off. They are both bad at this job. Kessling is a legend in his own mind. I know it will never happen but the job belongs to Mike Keith, always has the day Ward retired.

Will Danny White be the one who makes this hire or does the Vol Radio Network function independently of the Athletic Department?

Shane Beamer might be a really good coach. Especially a positional coach or coordinator. But if this is how he consistently responds to basic questions... he ain't gonna last. As far as I know, Frank didn't act entitled and condescending like that.

Butch found out what happens when you constantly belittle your own media and reporters.

A quality person as a coach would know each of those people personally, down to the janitor. Beamer acts like their all inferior idiots.
Should be required for new HC’s…
Crash: “You got something to write with? Good. It’s time to work on your interviews.”
Nuke: “My interviews? What do I got to do?”
Crash: “You’re gonna have to learn your cliches. You’re going to have to study them. You’re going to have to know them. They’re your friends. Write this down. We’ve got to play them one day at a time.”
Nuke: “Got to play … that’s pretty boring, you know?”
Crash: “Of course it’s boring. That’s the point. Write it down!”
Nuke: “One day at a time …”
Crash: “I’m just happy to be here. Hope I can help the ball club. I know. Write it down. I just want to give it my best shot, and the good Lord willing, things will work out.”
Nuke: “Good Lord willing …”
Crash: “Things will work out.”
