Makes me excited for Nico if he lives up to the hype. Ideally, he redshirts next season and we get four years out of him as a starter. We would have a roster almost entirely of Heupel's players by the time he starts. He could definitely end up owning every passing record at UT.

If Nico redshirts and he's the real deal, we're likely looking at 2 years of him as starter.

One thing stoops and staff did is put the blueprint out on how to stop Anthony Richardson. They basically had Jordan Wright spy/shadow him esp in all the obvious pass situations but really the majority of the time. That’s how he got the pick 6. Dude was just right in front of AR and he never saw him somehow. But it completely shut down the whole offense. Now that game film is out there for the whole league to look at.

Makes me wonder if we're gonna see their backup.

its gonna happen in two weeks.

I mean Pitt played us man in the secondary and left 6 or 7 in box the whole game to try and stifle our run after WVU carved them up.

They were successful, but had we not had so many drops Hendo would've went for 400+ and another 2 TDs. Someone in the game thread put it best, at least in the 2nd half Pitt didn't really stop us so much as we stopped ourselves.

Final thought on Pitt game. Pitt is a really solid, well coached team. Think the fact they were ranked higher ranked higher and we were favored rankled them and they were fired up for this game. The whole pretty team statement meant to me they thought we were overrated..

Damn, I forgot we would have played Army this Saturday had we not changed our schedule. That would have been a wild game.

People complained at the time of dropping that game, but it now seems like a great decision.

We just played a really, really physical OT game on the road, and have Florida coming up in two weeks. I am so glad we are not facing a potential injury extravaganza game against Army in between.

Thankful for a (hopefully) easy game against the Zips.

Prob so but then we hit their QBs about 25 times and all of a sudden they probably thought our front was underrated lol.

Even then… we are an offensive team that has to be efficient on that side to win constantly…. Had too many empty possessions last game(some not his fault)… feels a lot better…. Working to improve after a win instead of a loss.

I think a lot of this comes down to wasted play calls as well…I seen a lot of the same play calls in some of the same situations..we hold the players responsible a lot of the times but I think the coaching play calls need to be factored in as well…at the end of that game the play calls seemed repetitive with zero creativity

The timing of the Scott Frost firing is so bizarre. You are not going to hire anyone right now, and you are cutting him a check for $375,000 every day between now and October 1st, when his buyout would have dropped in half.
