The refs (Big 12 by the way) got it right. If they call targeting (bama QB kicked in the head) or roughing the passer and it sticks, then no safety. Review the play and his arm was going forward, therefore an incomplete pass. No part of his body had touched the endzone at that point. Therefore the turnover for calls of targeting and roughing the passer were correct. No safety and 4th down was also correct.

I feel dirty from watching that game. I was so conflicted. I can’t stand the texas longhorns and their obnoxious fans. Most of the bama fans here actually went to bama. Different than the bandwagon toothless fans that y’all have to deal with. The longhorn fans are obnoxious fake liberal asses. I take great pleasure in their losses.

Please understand that this in no way reflects a desire for bama to win. I am not depraved. The population here is saturated with longhorns and not so many bammers.

Interesting tidbit for the VFLs. Texas high school students use bama, auburn, arkansas, ole miss, oklahoma as safe backup plans if they can’t get into the colleges that they want to get into.

At my daughter’s high school, students that want to go to Tennessee, it’s a top choice for them… Never a backup plan.

I worked/taught at OU for awhile—that school is full of Texas rejects. That’s one of the reasons their primary identity is hating Texas. They are like the middle child always trying to get out of the shadow of their older brother, and turning around and kicking their little brother (OSU) anytime they need to feel a little better about themselves.

To be clear, I want misery all down the line.

If I was the Nebraska AD I’d make a hard push for Stoops. Honestly, he’s never going to win big at Kentucky. He would do well at Nebraska and have a much better chance to win the conference in the Big 10.

App State seems to be one of those programs that's good regardless of who the coach is. Satterfield and Drinkwitz looked good but are struggling at the next level. Now Clark is doing well. He will get poached soon and the guy after him will succeed, too.

Ga Southern beating Nebraska 14-7 last of 1st quarter. Nebraska is a 22.5 favorite. If Nebraska loses, do they let go of Frost tomorrow?

Have a game against the Akron Zips next week. The players and coaches are now preparing for the Akron Zips. I hope that the starters stay in a little longer for the game. Need to let them gel a little more with in game experience.

Plus, Pitt and UF always looked like 50/50 type games combined. We already got one of the 2. Not that the team should be viewing it like this, but a win over UF now feels like the cherry on top.

IF we had lost to Pitt, then I'd agree with Jack and winning vs UF would be critical.

Burrell still getting beat consistently. Would love for one of the other CBs to step up and supplant him as starting CB opposite of Hadden.

Milton should start next week to see what he's got... Can't be any worse after tonight's performance at QB.

Over dozen high, underthrown or overthrown balls (3 of which were to be easy in stride TD's), ZERO pocket awareness taking multiple sacks as a mobile/running QB... A complete off season to improve... which he hasn't shown so far. Very underwhelming and disappointing at this point.

The sloppiness and undisciplined nature of this game on every side of the ball including special teams reminds me of a Dooley team. SEC teams are licking their chops, anticipating blowing us out...

It is what it is... no way we can make that many improvements and adjustments in one game/two weeks before FL... they will embarrass us at this point. AT HOME.

The best explanation is he was just running Kelly/Helfrich's scheme for them at Oregon...then had one single season as a HC where he inherited the other guy's players. He never had to build something himself. Sounds like Pruitt.

Yes, I think it is pretty obvious watching hadden mask his receiver and not allowing much separation all game. Then you watch Burrell bail too quickly and give up easy throws. I think they like Burrell because he is a good tackler and good against the run. But he is not a good cover corner.

Fans get that opinion bc they only notice the plays when a pass is involved…. I think Hadden has a lot of potential and I love his aggressiveness when the ball in the air…. Hadden was also listed as the third string cb coming into the season…. There are obviously things he is doing that the staff feels he needs to clean up.

Boise State of the east.

It's truly amazing to me when you consider how far out in bfe they are. They sure as heck aren't surrounded by local talent, but do such an excellent job scooping up overlooked carolina guys and even some Florida ones and developing the hell out of them.

But then look at Satterfield and Drinkowitz...no good away from App. There's something in the water there or administration.
