Don’t knowIn regards to Burrell. When he’s on special teams he shows elite reaction time, burst, and speed off the edge. The man looks like he’ll block every field goal attempt. Against the run he flies to the ball. Why doesn’t that translate to his pass protection? I seriously am asking because I didn’t play at a high level.
Our philosophy is bend don’t break. It didn’t work at the end of the game but did in the balance. Hard to see a 270 lb TE hurdling our safety. Outside of that and the long run, they had zero big plays.Serious question. Are our secondary problems the result of personnel, or are they the result of the coverages being called? I know everyone loves to point out Burrell. But is he really that bad, or are our coaches calling bad coverages? It just seems like we're giving so much cushion to receivers. I'm starting to think it's more the coverages being called than it is the DBs.
UK ha the defensive game plan to make AR struggle. He only rushed 6 times last night. You absolutely have to stay in your rush lanes, have a fast spy on him, and force him to throw the football all night. That’s the plan to stop him. Unfortunately, I know exactly what we will do…send 4 with Banks as spy and sit in soft zone coverage, which will let him look like the Heisman front runner again.Richardson can’t beat you deep it doesn’t seem like. Crowd the 1st down chain and wait for him to miss throws.
Because I look at comparative scores. Why are you "concerned" with what happened between WVU and Kansas? Smh
Beasley's playing great, but scrambling QBs is what gave him fits last year. I hope he keeps the same level of play against a QB thats a running threat. Not sure if I would start off the game using him as a spy.Beasley on spy duties for AR. Thoughts? Need someone to attack the moment he's out of pocket. Need a bee line guy.
You certainly don't want banks doing it. You just got to hope for contain but Beasley is the guy imo.Beasley's playing great, but scrambling QBs is what gave him fits last year. No, they really don't. Each game is ALWAYS unto itself, with it's own set of circumstances. With your thinking, ND taking the #3 team in the country to the wire, should've meant them taking Marshall to the woodshed. Also, and someone else mentioned this...since Bama struggled with an unranked Texas (with their back-up QB), are you looking for them to continue struggling?Because I look at comparative scores.
I know they don’t correlate in every situation but I think they do the majority of the time.
When evaluating how good Pitt is, I look at who they barely beat but were outplayed by (WVU) who just lost at home to perennial doormat Kansas.
