I already have confidence. Im just saying if Heupel really is the coach that is going to bring us back to being a top 25 team year in and year out and back to competing for championships....he has to win those games...especially this year. There are only 2 teams this year that are "better" than us this year and that is Bama and UGA.

So if we...say....lose to Pitt....and then lose to UF a few weeks later...we are 2-2 and that shows no improvement from last year with a better team. You can't tell me that wouldnt make your confidence take a pretty big dip.
Depends on how the games play out.
As far as teams being better. . . there are several teams that would be considered better at this point if it weren't for Heupel and his staff. The confidence in the staff is why people consider us better than others in the first place. If basically any other coach takes this job last year and wins 5-6 like expected, no one is giving us credit for the 2nd or 3rd best team.

We were 1-4 in games decided by a TD or less last year. Pitt(L), Ole Miss(L), UK(W)and Purdue(L). That was the difference from 7 wins to 10. We were so close. For me to have confidence in Heupel going forward...he has to win those games. This game is so important for the trajectory of the season.
This has been the knock on Heupel — he seems to come up a bit too often on the wrong end in close games. I thought the UK win on the road was really solid and we honestly got hosed against Purdue. I think it might be a tad overplayed but a story will continue to develop if it becomes a pattern, of course.

Let’s not worry about it and just blow Pitt out. That would be nice.

It isn't. More than. One moose is called a flock of moosen. Right @SoilVol?
correct, and, as always best to approac quickly from side or behind. grab or box their rear quarters to startle them, they will run away. same approach for bison.

if you can find a young bear, try to snuggle.

hope that helps.

Any copperhead advice? . . not that anyone has actually ever seen one in real life. . .

I'm pretty sure Heupel hears that noise based on his post game locker room speech.I can't rem word for word but he definitely placed emphasis on us having played or having to play or maybe both multiple 1 possession games.Paraphrasing but basically we gonna have to win some close ass games be ready...Idk maybe it's something that's said a bunch I actually just found it interesting,so thought I'd mention it being this topic of conversation...
