UF is also better than any other program at being able to "reset" when a new coach comes in. Doesn't mean it lasts long-term, but they tend to have immediate benefits from new coach energy.

Few more thoughts on Pitt.

Slovis struggled with pocket presents

Stared down his receivers a decent amount. Pitt receivers weren’t getting a ton of separation when WVU was in man - wonder how our reliance on zone defense plays out. Slovis didn’t have the confidence to let his guys make a play.

Pitt has a good TE, but Slovis didn’t look his way much at all.

OLine struggled.

If we can pressure Slovis, maybe that keeps the TE busy staying in for protection.

Denis (7) is the key to their defense - he chirps a lot and is aggressive. Rest of team fed of his energy. Sometimes their aggression leaves them out of position, and WVU took advantage of it.

Not sure what WVU was doing with their o-line, but they left their TEs and RBs responsible for the rush ends too often. Pitt took advantage of this. Pitt blitzed a lot with lb/safety up the middle.

Pitt D struggled when WVU could get in the hurry up. Agree with whoever said it earlier - Narduzzi will have his guys falling out all over the field to slow us down.
