WVU held Pitt to under 80 yards rushing and had 2 or 3 sacks. So Pitt's OL didn't exactly look great.

Pitt also gave up almost 200 yards rushing (190) at 5.8 YPC. They held Daniels to 214 passing yards and a completion % of just 57.5.

WVU doesn't have anywhere near the talent at WR as we do though. So we'll see an interesting battle there, also will the officials allow physical play by Pitt's secondary or will they call it closer? Personally with how big Bru, Tillman, and Keyton are I don't think trying to play them physical is a smart move, especially if playing mostly man.
I was just about to post the same thing. Also, Pitt OL gave up 5 sacks.

WVU ran for almost 6 yards a carry… Heupel must be drooling right now. I think we rush for over 250 yards and pass for 300+. And I think we stuff Pitts running game just like WVU did and have a handful of sacks. This game shouldn’t be close.

The Panthers outlasted West Virginia in their first game with the go-ahead score coming on an interception return for a touchdown late. Narduzzi knows his team must be ready for both quarterbacks this weekend.

"Well, we played them both last year," Narduzzi said this week. "They're both really good. Joe started the game off, and he's got a cannon of an arm. He's athletic. He played well when he got in the other day as well against Ball State. And then Hooker came in. I think we turned Milton over a few times, which we've been known to do, and Brandon Hill had a nice pick against Hendon Hooker. They're both good quarterbacks."

"Again, it starts with their offense. They do certain things. They take advantage of you," Narduzzi said. "They have what we call these 'max splits,' and they're going to spread you out. You're going to be in man coverage all day, even if you don't want to be in man coverage. You want to be in cover three? Good luck to you. They're going to be — their favorite formation is having two detached receivers in the offensive line.

"The quarterback and running back are going to be in this little podium area here and then everybody else is going to be lined up way out there, and that's what they do. They spread you out. So it is a spread, fast-tempo offense, and again, both Milton and Hooker do a great job of operating."

"(Pitt is) a big game for us, obviously. First road test for us against a really good football team," Heupel said this week. "... Really good football team in all three phases. I’ve faced them, I think, four times. This is the fourth time in five years. They’re tough, physical on both sides of the line of scrimmage and do a really nice job. Will be a big test for us."

I'm just really excited to see both sides of the ball open the playbook up and get after it. There were some things that looked better during the Ball State game, and some things that looked the same. But I think when the team has a fire under their butt and no reason to hold back whatsoever, full send, I can't wait to see that team.

I’m pretty confident myself in this game
Last year they were better and we still almost won with the injuries, bad calls, horrible defense, etc

I will say WVU was top 50th in almost every defensive category last season...so they aren't a push over defense.

But...they also were 13th in fewest plays at 62.8, our defense saw the 2nd most plays in the country at 77.8. We were 44th in yards against at 5.4 despite all those extra snaps though. WVU was 77th at 5.6. So in theory we're a slightly -better- defense (or at least we were last year) when you look to the "per play" numbers and not the totals.

Anyone that is involved in youth baseball….. what is the best/ hottest drop 5 baseball bat?
Can’t go wrong with Marucci or DeMarini. There are tons of articles and YouTube videos comparing the two and from what I’ve seen not much difference. My son has a Marucci cat 9 connect and it has good pop. Has used it for 2 years and still going strong.

Which freshman was everyone impressed with the most🤔 who showed flashes?

Sampson had 51 total yards and a TD, on offense he had probably the most impressive showing. Especially considering he didn't get a snap behind the 1st string OL. I also thought Squirrel looked good, will be exciting to see him get more chances to operate in the offense as the year goes on and he gets more confidence.

He had a quiet day, but Christian Harrison may be someone that we start seeing emerge more in that secondary. But I think Josephs had the best showing on defense, almost had an INT and was flashing some elite speed as an edge guy while also playing early. He looked like a big WR on the end though, hopefully he's able to add good weight to that frame cause if he can he's got all the tools to be a special player.

I also feel like the defense didn't really sell out against Ball State. Not only was play calling vanilla, but we really didn't see BY or Baron causing havoc. Honestly think the effort was probably not full speed. Ball State play called very well to help themselves avoid having to hold up against pass rushes though. But rewatching some of our DL pressure looked more like "push 'em back and keep them from peeling to the next level" more than "get to the QB as hard and fast as possible"

Pruitt said looking at the schedules of Alabama and Georgia this season, there’s only one team that stands out as a threat to score those amount of points.
“I think Tennessee might be the only team east of the Mississippi River that can score with Alabama and Georgia,” Pruitt said.
“You look at their offensive front, and especially their quarterback position, running backs and skill positions, (and) Tennessee may have as good of wide receivers as anybody out there,” he said. “The obvious thing is how fast they play .... that puts pressure on the defense to get lined up and it possibly could shrink a defensive coordinator’s call sheet, just from being able to communicate it across the formation, as they spread you out with their alignment with their receivers.”
Of course, Pruitt acknowledged, the Vols have their challenges on defense.
“The question for their team is, will they be able to win a game 24-21?’ " Pruitt said. “Is the defense going to be able to hold up? They need to be opportunistic on defense and stay healthy on both sides.”

Yeah…. My son has the same CAT 9 drop 10 that he has used for travel ball…. I was thinking about the CAT X or one of the Demarini models…. Also heard good things about the Dirty South bats and a few other brands…. Just looking for opinions so I can make as informed a choice as possible. Thank you.

One of his teammates has a Dirty South and it has great pop. I think it’s composite so have to be careful with it in cold weather.
