Official Gramps' Memorial Eternal OT Thread

Except that they're another chain that doesn't GAF about you. It's like saying, "I really didn't feel the love at Applebee's."

Actually, the rest of the staff here has been on point.

The bar staff, tonight especially, is utter and complete hot garbage that needs to be picking up trash on the side of the road instead of playing bartender.

Lol. Just a temporary old folks home stay. Three days. Golf Saturday then a trip to Texas wine country and Fredricksburg tomorrow for antiques shopping. Will want to hit the Messina Hof winery for a few bottles of my favorite tawny port.

Good times.
Texas wine country? No thanks!

it's always a management problem. I remember getting some take out from an Olive Garden. It was pick up at the bar and it was a disaster of service. there was a Wendy's bag in plain sight that was one of the employee's - I mean right in the middle of the bar counter. all I could think is what on earth is the manager thinking to let that go.

Here is a pic from last trip. Perfect height to walk the freaks walk by

Our cat that thinks football on TV is a full contact sport has started believing my desk is hers and she needs to see the monitor more than me, so I found a good version of your freak walk for her. I put it on the right monitor and use the left one when I give up on chasing her away. I first tried an airport webcam, and she tried to bite the planes, so I happened to see a webcam (the buoy in Key West marked the southern most point). She watches and then gets bored and leaves - win/win. Every now and then I glance over and check it out - mostly a bunch of tourists lining up to take pictures - you realize how friendly people in the US can be. Sometimes you see a few interesting things - they generally happen late at night into the early morning. The first really memorable was the guy getting down on his knee to propose - from the hugging and kissing afterwards, she obviously said "yes". Saw another couple a couple of nights ago; he was snapping pics of the wife or girlfriend while she posed next to the buoy. Then she pulled her top down for him - not bad either. It's a 4K cam so pretty good quality.

watching an NFL show on Barry Sanders - has to be the GOAT. the number of big runs where he had to avoid TFLs alone is staggering. great speed with the smallest stride ever. he was the offense and the D knew it but still he dominated

has the wiggle that Johnnie Jones had

To put up the yards that he did with the lousy O line and support staff he had around him is nothing short of miraculous. I have to believe scheming their offense was easy. Que on Sanders.

first time I saw him was the Holiday Bowl the year he won the Heisman - 200+ yards and 5 TDs before they took him out after 3 quarters.

No blocking back in the pros - no passing threat from the likes of Rodney Peete or Eric Hipple or Chuck Long.

The highlights also show an uncanny ability to change directions at the sidelines instead of drifting out of bounds. Could have had the record (total yards) if he wanted but didn't want to stay just to get the record.

I don't know what thread it belongs in, but having watched the video of the POS coward punching a man from behind (and any of the myriad other examples), it makes me want to pull a pistol and shoot the worthless piece of human flotsam right in the forehead.

I would feel worse about shooting a mad dog. The dog cannot help it.
