You talking about some cold air intake or a K&N filter? I am no expert, but am skeptical after running one on my old 1.8T.
Maybe with tuned exhaust. What is sucked must be farted.
I bought an actual intake, not just the filter. I agree with you though that with better exhaust it would greatly increase airflow. Feels like a gained a few horses on the top end /VTEC from about 4.5k to 7.5k rpms... while not having changed anything on the exhaust side to increase airflow, doesnt that backpressure help with torque at lower RPMs? Maybe not...engines are basically just fans and moving more air period seems like should always be better. I honestly havent looked into exhaust bc all these kids with exhaust on 4cyl sound like weedeaters and are waaay too loud and high pitched. My car makes all its noise from the intake and it sounds like a V6 running wide open ..not high pitched noise like the mufflers I hear frequently. I would pay the $200 for this intake just for how it growls now under acceleration alone honestly lol...FWIW, Mugen makes the best performance stuff for Hondas but its pricey. The Mugen owners are related to Honda owners so they get engines/cars before they go on sale to the public. So when like the new 2022 Civic type R drops this winter (315hp) Mugen will have intake, headers, etc available for it from day 1. I believe in Japan you can still have Mugen parts dealer installed and under warranty etc
