Summers are my busy work time. These Guard Soldiers arent going to train themselves. I normally work about 2 months without a day off. Bright side is I enjoy what I do for work and it is meaningful to me!

Women aren't just less athletic. They are less interested in participating or watching sports by temperament. So you have three compounding factors.

1) Less athletic, which decreases the quality of the sport.
2) Less participants, which decreases the quality of the sport.
3) Less interest from women, which decreases the popularity of the sport.

Anyone who actually watches a WNBA game start to finish and is even mildly familiar with basketball can objectively say its played at the level of a good junior high boys team. When junior high boys start making millions in ticket sales and TV deals, call me then. In the mean time, looking at the disparity as a "problem to be addressed" is just another example of wishing men and women weren't different and pointlessly railing against reality.

The word "support" is being thrown around like every sport on campus but football and men's basketball isn't operating in the red.

My son and I each caught a 20+ Pound lake trout. For once I actually caught a bigger fish than he did! We released these. Kept 5 to eat. If you ever get the chance to fish Williams Fork Reservoir near Granby Colorado, take it.

Wow...I am so jealous...no western trips for me this year. Those Lakers get huge, I have always wanted to go out on Flathead lake with a guide someday and catch a few.

Crayola is the gold standard in crayons and anything they make.
Cra z art is a name brand everyone knows but will always be worse than the store brand
Ask any elementary teacher and they will go into more detail

Learn something new every day. I disagree with your conclusion (well about women's sports - I am down with Crayola) but applaud your explanation teach!

We've supported a subpar product forever and will continue to even when that product wins a championship because under that logic we should only be watching the pros. Women's sports aren't about what men can do and shouldn't be just like college sports shouldn't be about what pros can do. The WNBA and women's sports in general are far behind but it's for many, many reasons none of which include men being physically gifted with testosterone. Regardless of your stance though, I think we can all agree that the goal is to get them better.

If males at the top are exponentially more athletic than females at the top (and therefore more entertaining and more widely displayed in media), more male children are going to be interested in sports than female children, and the increased interest would probably be the main reason for the higher support.

Although, to be honest, I think you're WAY overblowing the gap in support at super young ages. Any girl can join any sports team at 5 years old just like any boy can.

And I think you're way underblowing the sports ability gap in males and females even at young ages. I was an average kid when it came to sports, and at 7 or 8 years old, I was far, far better at sports than the very best girl my age at my school.

So there are a lot of good points you're making, but you're taking them to such an extreme that they're hard to agree with. Just my opinion. I completely agree we should fix a lot of the ways we treat females at every age, but I don't think trying to encourage more people to watch an objectively inferior athletic entertainment product is one of the approaches we should take.

Now you're doing the same thing @UTProf is doing, only in the other way haha. Your point is valid, that women's sports are objectively less athletic. But the WNBA is at a far higher level than junior high boys. The average high school team couldn't even come close to a WNBA team. True the better high school teams could, but you're way overblowing it.

There is some merit to what he said. Different sport, but a high school boys soccer team beat a national team. I do think some junior high teams could compete against the bottom of the league.

LSU, Pitt and especially Kentucky is downright funny. I am laughing at those odds. Do they think Kentucky is going to beat us this year after losing to us last year at home with us having the ball for only 13 minutes? LSU is absolutely starting over and we only have a 32% chance in that game? Pitt lost some really major pieces on offense. Defense may be good, but their offense will be more 1 dimensional this year without Pickett and Addison. Are they really going to score more than we will? These 3 games honestly we should be favored in. I need some of what they're smoking.

There are apps for wildlife and plants that do this but they're not always accurate. Especially with reptiles. Honestly the fastest response you're going to get is to join an ID group on facebook. Join the group beforehand and when you come across one snap a pic, post it, and ahould get a professional's ID quickly. Tennessee Snake Identification and Education Page is a good one if you're in TN.
