I watched my Niece leave her house the other day and she walked within 20 ft of a doe and never noticed. of course I hollered at her to look and of course she oohed and aahed but it made me think how much we just don't take the time to notice. I'm as guilty as the next but we all complain about this and that ugly thing but we never notice the Beauty standing within arms reach of us most of the time. So today lets look around.........it could help and we may see something pretty..

I have 4 year old twins and I always try to teach them to slow down and take a look at what is going on around them. Yesterday, we were walking back from the grocery store to the car and they heard a cicada. So I told them we should go on a "hunt" for it. We followed the sound to a small tree and I got them up on my shoulders so they could find it.

They are constantly stopping to look at bugs, birds, clouds, or "fossils" (aka rocks). It takes forever for us to go anywhere, but it's worth it to see them discover the world around them.

Someone asked Josh Pate who the next top tier program will be in modern college football. He answered:
A&M
UNC
USC
Texas
Penn St
Then he made a point to highlight Tennessee

Like a lot of us have pointed out on here, Pate thinks that Tennessee or UNC or maybe even a VT could use the Clemson blueprint and emerge as a top program this decade.

In the past we were held back by poor leadership. It now seems that everything is in place to be successful. Even though our in-state recruiting isn’t as strong as Florida, Texas, or Georgia our regional opportunities for recruiting are excellent. We can build a roster from guys in a 400 mile radius to Knoxville. It’s incorrect to compare us to Nebraska, like so many do, because we’re not isolated from talent like they are.

That's exactly what Josh Pate and some of the other 247 guys that actually know CFB have been saying. Andy Staples and Bruce Feldman said similar things this offseason.

Pate always makes it a point to mention that UT has an abundance of talent nearby if you draw a 6-hour-drive radius around Knoxville. His argument is that if Clemson has been able to ascend, then Tennessee can rise again. Clemson is only 100 miles away from Knoxville as the crow flies. He has correctly identified that Tennessee's collapse has directly led to Clemson's rise.

I have 8/9 full days though.

It looks like i can hit Old Faithful, Paint Pots, Grand Canyon of YNP, Mammoth Spring, and Prismatic Spring within couple hours of each other on one day. We aren’t staying in the park, so we would have to come back to go into Lamar Valley for all the wildlife unless you think we’ll see some in the aforementioned route. Minuscule, I know, compared to all that is out there.

And GTNP is going to be couple half days, one for some pictures (TA Moulton Barn, Schwarbach’s Landing), then another day at Jenny Lake.

There’s some beautiful scenery in Gallatin NP as well in Bozeman. I’ve resigned myself to the fact that there is too much and I just will have to come back for more 😀.
When you go to Jenny lake, take the ferry across to Hidden Falls and Cascade canyon. It is a short 1/2 mile hike up to the falls and another 1/4 to 1/2 mile hike up to Inspiration point...you could also hit up the Jackson Hole Mountain resort gondolas which take you to the top of Rendezvous peak just south of the National Park boundary, or ride one of the gondolas at Snow King resort which give you a great view looking up the Tetons from south to north.

That day at Yellowstone is going to be a doozy...you better be headed in at daylight if you really want to experience all that. Wildlife will be all over...you don't have to drive up Lamar to see it, but the views up the valley going up toward the Beartooth are spectacular. You can drive up Lamar on your way from Yellowstone Canyon to Mammoth...and also don't miss Tower Falls on the way.

I love the Bozeman area, and it ain't Yellowstone or Jackson Hole...but you will have a blast. We are not much on visiting towns on our trips, we focus on the parks and historic sites.
