Judging by this preacher's tone, I am almost certain that he believes women are second class citizens and should be subservient.
Women are perhaps the greatest of God's creation. A Godly woman is probably the greatest blessing on earth! Praying mother's truly is probably the most important people on the planet as far as I'm concerned.

Yeah, I have my opinion about church too. Hypocrites are everywhere but they don't keep me from going to other places. I know what Paul and Jesus say about church too and I chose to commit to it. It's hard to do sometimes, but for me personally, I feel good about making myself go sometimes.

Are you saying that your denomination does not preach that women are subservient or are you deflecting to avoid my comment?

The Lord examines the righteous and in Him I can take refuge. That’s where my connection lies. With my Heavenly Father. The wicked try to destroy the foundations and the Lord will have his Justice with them. But I find my refuge in Him.
So that justifies you thinking the bible isn't reliable and you don't have to go to church how? I must be missing something *hear(just for you Behr)?

When I got married we made it clear we wanted none of that subservient crap in the ceremony. My ex’s cousin’s husband married us, he did bring it up and we were pissed.

And then Air Force two carrying Cheney was landing in our view of the Tetons and we were really pissed.

Nope I know what alcohol did to my dad
Oh well then, since YOU know what it did to YOUR dad (I’m sorry to hear that, and I know it’s painful), then YOU get to predict and pronounce what it will do to everyone else.

You’re one of God’s creations; you’re not God. God’s creatures need to practice humility. We can share our understanding of God with others, and at the same time we must listen to others’ understanding and consider that we might need to tweak our interpretations a bit. That’s how we grow in our understanding.

Act justly

Walk humbly

I said I’m at peace with my decision. There are several reasons you frighten me as a preacher, but your inability to grasp what’s literally told to you and instead redirect is the scariest by far.

The fundamental aspect of being a Christian is accepting of Jesus Christ and that he died for our sins. And worshiping and honoring him. And we are even told to bring our issues and our burdens to him. The church is just a place, it’s not the foundation of Christianity.

“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God.”

“And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words. Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.”

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

Can a woman be a preacher? Can a woman be a deacon? Does a woman have to be submissive to her husband?

Given how you continue to deflect and dance around my questions, we know your stance.
She doesn't have to do anything.....
Preacher, no deacon, no should she be submissive to her husband yes as well the husband should be submissive to her. In the fear of the Lord according to the bible.

I have studied what the bible says about the subject and come to the conclusion that drinking alcohol is indeed a sinful practice.
