Bryce Brown (CLOSED)

Ok, how about the years 0-2007. Tennessee had a bad year, believe me. We know.

I know too. Oregon had a good year. Most think they are going to have another.

So, again, what does the history of teams not playing now have to do with where Brown should go?

Are you a fan or a player?

A fan. But, I'm discussing the recruitment of Brown. Not who has the best historical record. Frankly, I don't need that to enjoy the fact that the team I like is good now. But, I realize that, when a team isn't good now, they have to rely on history and the rest of their conference to feel good about it. So, I understand.

Wow, you have 91 posts and 85 of them are in this thread. Do they not discuss Bryce Brown on the UO board?

They do. But, sometimes, people on other boards have information that isn't widely available. For example, just a page back a guy from Wichita says that he knows the family and had some info about Brown.

So, that's why I look around. That and I prefer not to confine myself to only homer sources as I am also interested in the sport in general beyond the team I like.

I agree with you I look at other boards myself but you only seem to be interested in one subject. So when Bryce Brown signs with a school I guess that means you will have nothing to talk about.

Well it's the second time he's dogged a school in the press at least. He did it to Miami - and he did it to UT by saying the players we have wouldn't be able to get done what Kiffin wants to do. I don't like this situation any more. I don't care if we get him or not. I won't dog him like he did our players, but I would prefer it if he went elsewhere. Not a huge stretch, because I've been saying for months that he's headed to Oregon anyway, but I would applaud the coaches if they told Brown the same thing Miami did.

I agree. These players that seem to think they are god's gift to college football are not really caring about the university they go to. It's all business to them these days. I could not care if he comes or not.

..., but I would applaud the coaches if they told Brown the same thing Miami did.

It would be very Kiffin-like to do just that.

It might also help prevent kids from acting like this in the future. It's really a bit unbecoming for a player who wants to play a team sport.

I may be wrong, but I think you're taking what he said about UT out of context. I got the impression that he liked pretty much everything he saw at UT.

dont u guys have jeremiah johnson that leblount kid and like 3 other rb on scholarship.

Johnson is headed for the NFL this year. Blount will be a senior along with Crenshaw. So, there is a definite need for an RB.

Similar to UT with Oku, there is another RB Oregon is looking at, presumably for if Brown doesn't commit.

Yeah. Probably not until 2010 when the Ducks play UT.

Understandable. I just think that he's been misunderstood to a degree. If he were to join UT, I'm sure that they would just make that comment a way to joke with him and move on to football.
