As bad as I don't want to say it, our women don't hold a candle to those chicks. Sorry, I love UT Sports and their cheerleaders and dance team, but looks belong to the Ducks on this one. Also, we hold 3 straight NC with the dance team, so we get that consolation.

Jesus...when's the last time you've been to Knoxville? Our dance team is plenty good enough to match up with these girls.

And our cheerleaders get the tiny girls on purpose...that's why we have the dance team to gawk at.

His recruiting has been eerily quite. Usually we have someone informing us where he will most likely head but it seems like its a toss up between Oregon, Tennessee, and now LSU.

I think our chances with Bryce are getting worse and worse at this point only to the fact that if he really knew he wanted to go to Tennessee he would have pulled the trigger by now and signed but he is still unsure of himself or just possibly doublechecking his decision by visiting LSU now. Maybe he is silently committed to Oregon and he needs to ensure that he is making his best decision.[/Q]

What makes you think his not a silent to Tennessee and he needs to ensure that he is making his best decision?

I dont think he ends up at Oregon because it just doesnt make any sense for him to travel to an average PAC 10 team on the other side of the nation. He likes them alot but for all the wrong reasons and he will realize that. He wont land at Oregon in the end.

"Relationship with the coach", "experience in the offense", "likes the offense", "likes the place", "can see himself there", "they take care of their players." Seems like all the right reasons to me.

Not sure how you're measuring them to be an average Pac-10 team. They've had a winning record nearly every year for the last several seasons and have made a number of pushes for the #1 spot. They were ranked 10 in the nation last season and are put in the top 25 (or top 10) by most for next.

Just a thought: Maybe the Nike owner has promised him a contract or maybe designing the next 10 uniforms for the cheeleaders.

Nah. But, I was just there a couple weeks ago and saw a former UO WR walking around. So, maybe there are possibilities there after their NCAA career.

I am sure Oregon as bad as they want him would risk the NCAA death penalty the would come with it.

I'm pretty sure that they would not risk that. The whole Phil Knight UO relationship is constantly under a spot-light out here because some academics at the school don't like that he puts so much money into sports (even though he is also the top academics donor at the school as well).

It is called sarcism Dumb arse. Learn how to read more than one line at a time in two different posts.

Yes. Because sarcasm translates so well on the internet.

And given the history of your comments, I call bs on that anyway. Learn how to represent your team with a little more class and avoid name-calling.

wheaton4prez they are average because they are a pac 10 team other than usc.

In other words, you don't know much about college ball outside of the SEC.

The Pac-10 is USC and sometimes another surprise team. It's a cupcake conference.

Are you a sticks and stones type of guy. Again, if you could read more than one thread you would not have a problem translating sarcasm.

Here we go again, trying to provoke a stupid argument about OU and UT Football. I have no "ill will" history of comments toward UTK.

He set a date to commit and that's all there is to it. He is not going to commit a day before or after (well as far as we know :p) - it doesn't mean anything about our chances other than the fact he still has time for the unofficial visit. He did not send out a "P.S. - if I like Tennessee a ton I'll drop the whole recruiting process and visits and sign the LOI on the spot."

The guy - unlike most recruits - had clear intentions coming in so it won't be like some recruits who are just overwhelmed by the visits and sign then and there.

I disagree. I believe we have as good a chance as any of the schools he is looking at. He has already declared the date of his decision and is taking some more visits before then. He has said very positive things about his visit and about Tennessee.

2008 Pac-10 in bowl games: 5-0

UCLA. A bottom tier Pac-10 team. Seemed to hang right in there with UT.

And maybe things would look different if certain programs would stop boosting their records with cupcakes and challenged themselves like the Pac-10 has:

Ok. You were being sarcastic. So, you do accept the integrity that the UO staff is known for and that it's blatantly obvious that Brown wouldn't be into them for the wrong reasons. Thank you for clarifying that.

When the last 100 National Championships were played, did Oregon get a trophy?

History matters to fans. Not recruits looking at the current teams and what they can do there during their career.
