Should U.S. Swap ‘Merchant of Death’ for Brittney Griner?

Vladimir would be proud of your level of projection.

Xi is utterly proud of how you ignore sources that illustrate my claims, and hurling an insult instead of even acknowledging the facts. Including one being from your own Far Right source, Breitbart. Project that. Imagine that, you being not only a Putin-puppet but a Xi puppet as well.

You don’t think Trump would save BG for political reasons and to be able to hold it over liberals heads at rallies ? I do
That’s a great play but nah, he’d let her rot and tell the world he will do nothing since she protested the NA. In the words of Dave Chappelle “tough break, *****”

He wouldn't do that, Trump is smarter than people give him credit for. He'd have seen the potential political capital with getting her out and made a deal, sure he's have let her stew for a few months to build up the tension but he'd have gotten her out then declared it was the "best deal ever" regardless the cost.

Bad situation for Brittany Griner. Worse time to be in Russia. Russia will definitely use her as pawn to get something out of a deal to release her.

I can see the last part. I don't think Trump is all that smart, though.

Of course not because he would have had hash declared legal in Russia.

I love the fact that the Trump supporters think he would have done a damn thing about BG.

I don't know if he would have done anything; I'm just saying I think he was more respected in that short time. He was no nonsense and leaders around the world knew it. You can deny it if you want.

For years, some UT fans didn't believe Alabama was going to whoop our azzes in football again until we got on the field and reality set in. Even then some had several excuses and plays that could've turned the game. Sometimes you can't fix hard headedness.

He wasn't respected at home or abroad. He was, outside of his cheer squad, thought of as a buffoon.

Biden and Harris Speak with Brittney Griner's wife

'It's time we start saying the quiet part out loud': Journalist speaks out on Brittney Griner trial 04:06

(CNN) President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris spoke by phone Wednesday with Cherelle Griner, the wife of WNBA star Brittney Griner, who is detained in a Russian prison, according to the White House.

Biden has also written a letter in response to Brittney Griner's handwritten letter, which he shared with her wife during the call.

"The President called Cherelle to reassure her that he is working to secure Brittney's release as soon as possible, as well as the release of Paul Whelan and other US nationals who are wrongfully detained or held hostage in Russia and around the world. He also read her a draft of the letter the President is sending to Brittney Griner today," the White House said.

Griner wrote, "I realize you are dealing with so much, but please don't forget about me and the other American Detainees. Please do all you can to bring us home. I voted for the first time in 2020 and I voted for you. I believe in you. I still have so much good to do with my freedom that you can help restore. I miss my wife! I miss my family! I miss my teammates! It kills me to know they are suffering so much right now. I am grateful for whatever you can do at this moment to get me home," she wrote.

Al Sharpton Urges White House to Help Him Arrange Clergy Visit with WNBA Star Brittney Griner

MSNBC host Al Sharpton is calling on Joe Biden to help him arrange a visit to WNBA star Brittney Griner, the player who is languishing in a Russian prison on drug charges.

“It’s my intention to be in Russia next week. And I hope the White House will help to make it possible for me to do a clergy visit to let her know of the support and to let her know that her family and everyone is concerned about her and pray with her,” the ever self-promoting MSNBC host told fellow hosts on Morning Joe on Wednesday, Fox News reported.

On Monday, Griner’s coach, Vanessa Nygaard, blasted the White House and said that if Griner was white or even a male basketball player she would have already been released.

How does the moniker WNBA fit a bunch of homosexual stoners?

Has she denied the charges?

If she is being held for political reasons because of her notoriety then the Gov should help. However, if she is being held no differently than anyone else for drug smuggling the Gov should stay out of it.

I will say she did it. But they will have her announce how it was all a set up for political reasons and that she did nothing wrong.
