Roe vs Wade Overturned

Exactly. You elect your state's government, so if your state enacts abortion laws you don't agree with, then you failed as a voter.
Weezer, he’s talking about your state representatives in the U.S. Congress (not state).

Dang it , I was hoping you were moving to some exotic far away land so I’d have a place to go visit . I don’t mean Mexico or Canada either so don’t even try that . Lol
California?

What is the matter with socialism on the local level? In other words, you getting together with likeminded people and pooling your resources together to live that life with common values within a community?

Why subjugate the entire country to a system when we have a broad range of geographic differences, economic differences, demographic differences, etc? You can't cookie cutter this s^^t.
I actually love this idea but the issue is socialism is frowned upon in this country because no one understands how it’s supposed to work and socialism works through government so even a local socialist area would be subjected to federal capitalism

Tennessee has a "trigger ban" for abortion on the books. The law was written in 2019; in the event Roe is overturned, after 30 days a near total abortion ban would go in to effect. There are no exceptions for rape or incest. There are exceptions if the life of the mother is at risk (the wording is pretty specific, not her health being at risk, but her life).

So the abortion ban in Tennessee will go in effect late July.

Now we just need better adoption laws. If you are going to ban abortion, you need to have programs in place to help women in that circumstances find other options such as giving kids up to a family for adoption.

I know, I was turning it toward state government, tho. Your state government should be far more representative of your state than your representatives in Congress.

Well you vote in state representatives so if your state representative doesn’t know about your state then u failed as a voter
Wyoming will only have 3 people in Congress advancing their needs due to population. Florida will have about 29 in Congress. So even then, they will not get a fair shake. That is the point of giving states a certain level of autonomy.

The thing with letting states make decisions is what’s the line because I’m not sure we all agree on where that line should be

The people saying they are coming after womens right to vote are ignorant beyond belief. And does anyone really think that if a pregnant woman goes to the hospital, finds out her baby is either not viable or could cause her to die, that a doctor wouldn’t abort?

See the liberals always act like this when things go against them. They go to the absolute idiotic extremes.

That was my thinking as well.

I'm against abortion but also against making them illegal. If you can make that choice and own up to it then pay for it on your dime and don't rely on tax payer dollars.

My wife is 8 months pregnant and I remember watching our boy at 10-11 weeks in the ultrasound and it was blatantly obvious that that was a little, living human in there. My wife is also an NP who spent a lot of time in the NICU during school and learned a lot. When they are that far along and go through an abortion it isn't some magic pill that causes the baby to disappear.. they suffer during the process and it isn't pretty. Every pregnant woman that chooses one should be forced to watch it on an ultrasound or something similar and visit the NICU to see premies before going through with it.
