We didn't win because of ND shamrock hats. We didn't win because Peyton stayed away or someone else showed up. We didn't win because of what someone had for breakfast, or what underwear someone wore. We didn't win because grandpa was in his lucky chair or mom got sent to the store in the 5th inning. We didn't win because ND stepped on the chalk line in pre game, and we certainly didn't win because the baseball gods were pleased or displeased.

We won because of the hard work, dedication, commitment, preparation and focus of this team. We won because one of the best pitchers in the game showed up and performed in the clutch. We won with great players playing great and good players playing their butts off. We won because of a team assembled by a coaching staff that saw what could happen if you give us fans something to cheer for, support, rally around and get behind.

There's no superstitious voodoo involved, give this team all the credit they are due.
