Been stuck in two traffic jams since I left. My plan was to get to Knoxville by noon.. 🤦‍♂️
have you considered using an alternate route? Im sure there are side roads. If that's Asheville NC, I240 goes around downtown and 26 to N Asheville/Merrimon, then you can squirt to 26 other side of downtown, and backroad to Waynesville.

I believe it was Sweeten Creek road that ran length of 26, through Biltmore. Used to use to get around 26. Avoided it at all costs.

Other option is forgetting that all together and go through JC.

Refs are such pansies. I know you can't do ish like that but good lord. The moment being that big you don't just toss first.
It's been said that that this crew told both teams that they would not put up with unruley behavior prior tho these games. This is a neutral crew and I guess they've seen some of our nonsense and didn't want to be a part of it.

We had a great Friday, Saturday and Sunday pitching rotation going at the start of the season. They were unbeatable with two freshmen in that rotation and then Tidwell comes back from his injury and gets one of the weekend starting spots and we haven't been the same since. I don't think I would have messed with that early starting rotation because, to me, the freshmen are better than Tidwell.

One thing about baseball, anyone can get hot in a short series---best two of three---and turn your lights out. We still have the best team in the country but we may not get the chance to prove it. Hopefully, we'll take the next two with our best pitchers and move on.
Blade Tidwell is the best pitcher in college baseball, and the ace of this staff; and, you wouldn't have had him back in the rotation?? OK, then...

That was Tidwell’s only bad outing. He pitched a shutout against Alabama State last weekend and pitched well in the SECT. Only had 36 innings going into this weekend, so his arm is fresh.
I think the first HR got in his head a little. The announcers said it was a fastball but I thought it looked more like a breaking ball that hung up there. I really did not see much after the second because I had other commitments, but that was my perspective in the limited amount of the game I got to watch.

What’s even worse is that if they call that you leaned into a HBP, it’s called a strike. You can’t make this stuff up.
Well it should be if you did lean into it. That's trying to work the game rules, like flopping. You should be penalized in some way jmo.

The umps will never be good enough to satisfy fans…. Didn’t get to watch last night bc I had other obligations(kept up online/radio and such) but last weekend I felt the umps did a decent job…. They are calling a game behind the catcher where the ball is going 85-100 mph and can move 10 inches or more… our vantage point is a zoomed in camera that is directly in line with the ball. Anytime you argue balls and strikes then you stand a real good chance of being kicked out… we may not like it but it is what happens in baseball… we were extremely lucky Jorel wasn’t ran last game… We lost last nights game bc of poor play…. We need our pitching to man up and do it’s job. Go Vols!
Example one million why humans shouldn't be trying to call balls and strikes.

Agree with the rest. We weren't down by 7 runs because of refs.

Time to man the hell up.

He used a word that the ump didn’t like.

Repeating that’s f@cking horrible would get you tossed .
Then coach Anderson came out yelling the same word. Not acceptable for a coach or player.

Dropping f bombs not the right move at all.

Sucks that they are out more than the game that they were kicked out of…

You're right it's not the reason why they were down. It's was a reason why they couldn't make a comeback though
Yeah no Drew hurts us. That's on him though and he has to man up. Need today to be a low scoring game...as most ND games are. I still can't get over giving up 8 to those guys. They hadn't done that in a month or two. Unbelievable.

Drew is like Derek Barnett. Love the passion, but the guy plays in the gray area a lot too. Finally cost his team, unfortunately. Don't get a multi-game suspension though. Either kick him out for the remainder of the game or let him back in during the same inning today for a full 9 inning suspension. Is what it is, but that's a tough lesson to learn.

RIP engineerVOL’s lush fescue lawn. 🥵
See ya in the fall. 🌱

They laid sod down at our new house a couple weeks ago. It’s straight brown, barely a splash of green. All of the neighbors that also had sod laid at the same time have green grass and have to just upkeep it so it stays green and grows in nice. Meanwhile, I’m going to have to revive this in the dead of summer 🤦🏻‍♂️
