Anybody have a pair of supers tickets they’re selling? Want to take the girlfriend and use the occasion to make her a fiancé. (She’s as big a fan as me, it’s not a stupid place to do it for her).

Atop the Vols dugout during the 7th inning stretch would be super cool. Might have to okay with security ahead of time unless you want different results. Just saying.

What if she says no?

Kidding.

But what if?

Sports washing is an accurate term IMO. So, what does it say about the guys willing to do it? I know what I think.

FTR, Na has been very public about the fact they he can only compete against the bombers on a handful of courses. He's 38. He will not have the opportunity to win many more. IMO the final straw for him was not getting chosen for the Ryder Cup team the last time. He had a decent case for being chosen and they went with other guys. His ego won't let him do the right thing, so he sold out to nasty for the money.

DJ's is a whole different dynamic. Bad boy in his early years with the women and drugs although he has matured a lot in recent years. Different type guy - not the guy the media has sold. Great golfer though. Money grab with him, pure and simple.

I follow the tour closely. The top players like DJ want to win as much money as possible while playing as little as possible. They want to win majors and and don’t care about the “John Deere Classic” but they are forced to play events that they don’t care about to keep pace in the Fed Ex Cup.

Other players like Na need the LIV tour to be competitive because their chances of winning are not good on the PGA Tour. Some of these players can earn more money with less competition and not have to stress about keeping your tour card.

Are you going to propose to her at the Rock while Andy Bowser takes photos. 😂😂

That's Super ORegional! Hope she says yes and wish I did have a few tix.

We're on an 11-game win streak, versus some of the best teams in the country (end of regular season + SEC tourney + regional).

We just need a 7-game streak from here on out to win it all with ease.

Avoid losing any 2 out of 3 consecutive games and we also win. Fwiw we're 60+ games in this season and we've only done that twice all season. Technically, we could even lose 2 out of 3 in a few situations and keep going.

The math says everybody else is screwed...

This might sound strange, but it just dawned on me that not everyone is a lifelong Vols fan. I kinda assumed that, as a kid, you liked them or you grew up with UT fans. I just saw someone mention they became a fan in Sept. 2019.

I grew up just across the river from Neyland. My grandma lived off Martin Mill pk, next to Fleniken elementary. Every football Saturday, we'd climb the hill behind Fleniken and watch for the fireworks after a score.

The old man, who lived on top of the hill, would always have John Ward playing. We'd build dirt jumps in the woods next to his house and ride the trails while the broadcast aired. Whenever we scored, we'd know it. The radio excitment, then hearing "Go Vols" being yelled inside & outside houses having game day bbq's up and down the street, and seeing or hearing the fireworks exploding. . . I was hooked early, as far back as I can remember.

When/why did you become a Vols fan?
I was born and raised in East Tennessee and I think it happened at birth!

Something I’ve said a number of times on here is I think it’s the players that make the coach. The other part to that I think is that it’s the coach that makes the team. When Vitello first got here it took him a couple years to build his roster and then in 2020 he was ready to go. The season got cut short with Covid but in 2021 his team showed out. In 2022 the team has only continued to improve. jmo.

People have been saying we have a dominant program now. Dominating, I think, means more than just winning; it means making your opponents look bad. In the SEC Tournament we dominated with a combined score of 35-10. In the regional we dominated with a combined score of 31-13. But we’ve obviously been dominating our opponents all season long.

I think Vitello is an exceptional coach and leader. jmo.

He’s obviously very capable and he know what and how to get things done. I like the way he presents himself. The Mike Honcho bit was priceless but he’s always got something like that. I like the way he and his players bond with the fans after games. The level of appreciation he and his players show to the fans I think probably starts from the top. After the regional was over someone asked him something about Notre Dame, our super regional opponent. He said he hadn’t yet had time to find out who our opponent would be but Peyton Manning texted him that Notre Dame was the team. Then he thanked the reporter for giving him a chance to tell everyone that Peyton Manning texts him. To me that was another Vitello gem. jmo.

The following table shows some key metrics and how much we’ve improved in the last year and how much more we’ve been able to degrade the performance of our opponents when they face us. Our opponent’s performance in the table is just for the games where they faced us.

The number will change a little by the time we we bring home the CWS crown as so far this year our numbers are based on 5 games less than the total number of games we had last year. I still think the point stands that this year's team across the board took another major step forward in improvement. I think that's good coaching. jmo.
