Happy for you that yours worked out, but statistics disagree with all these "pit bulls are harmless" posts. You can blame owners if you like, but they are clearly the most likely dog to kill or injure a person. And almost every single nasty dog encounter I've ever had or heard of is with one of those. I don't think anyone believes 100% of them are likely to attack you, but odds are much higher they will than any other dog.I try to tell people this. I have always been one to shy away from pitts, but then we went to the shelter one afternoon and took Winston out for a walk to get to know him a little. He just came up and put his head in my lap with his big ole sad eyes and my heart melted. He is so gentle and easy going. Like many dogs, he doesn't like thunderstorms or fireworks but other than that he is a wonderful dog and we wouldn't trade him for anything.
It's especially funny because So Miss used to bounce Old Piss in football (more than 50%) until Old Piss quit playing them. It was as big as the Egg Bowl. Brett Favre, anyone. (That really hurt So Miss financially and especially in recruiting.) Old Piss does still play So Miss once a year in baseball on a neutral field (So. Miss won). But now, Old Piss is forced to go to Hattiesburg. I hope they are absolutely crushed.Love to see southern miss bounce ole piss, that would be embarrassing for sure
Same as German Shepherds and Rottweilers. Friends of ours have 2 pit bulls and they are great dogs
I don’t know if that’s true….. I had a buddy get his arm severed from one bite from a pit that was trying to protect him.Pitts are very good dogs. They are big sweethearts, but have gotten a horrible reputation because of idiots who train them to be dangerous. Kind of like guns in that way. If you use a pittbull for violence, they will be violent. If you use them the right way and give them love and train them to be sweet boys and good girls then that is what they will be. All in how they are treated.
I’ve seen this movie before..
