He makes a statement that AR15s are, for intents and purposes just like the M16. Then proceeds to list major functional differences, like does not have selective fire, doesn't have a bayonet, etc. But OMG, they have picatinny rails for attaching flashlights!

By that "general's" logic, anything chambered in .308, 30-06, .45, 9mm, .338 Laputua, 12g shotguns, bolt actions, muzzle loaders, bows and arrows, etc. are weapons of war.

I truly believe after thinking about all the responses when it comes to firearms that, we are seeing the results ( in general ) of a large group of people that have gone away from their roots and traditions so far , that they have lost the working knowledge of basic information and consider the ones that haven’t to be the fringe of society . This is really a sad thing if you think about that party’s grass roots platform being “ for the working class “ .

Really, it's the same tired crap talking points everytime. "But X can be used to kill too!!!" "Guns don't kill, people do." "Without guns were not free." Simply fact is we're the only developed country with this problem and we have this problem because we give guns out like candy on Halloween.

When I first joined I tried to have serious debate on this and other topics. Then I recognized most on here are just knuckledraggers so I became a sh**poster.

You must haven given up immediately after you saw that you can’t argue using facts, because I can’t remember you doing anything but sh!t posting ridiculous articles that you don’t even bother reading before you hit send and I’ve been here a while . Anyone who is terrified after just seeing someone with a firearm on their person at a gas station while traveling south just needs to stay holed up in their brownstone in NY city until the msm tell you it’s safe to come out . Lol

I think one of my initial posts on this topic was a podcast by a guy named Jeff McMahan, a philosophy professor, who really runs through all the arguments used by gun nuts and dismantles each one. Also, I tried to explain how the gun problem in the US is a prisoner's dilemma. But only about 4 people on here have any idea what a prisoner's dilemma is.

Ohio brought several bills to the floor last night to be debated. They are being pushed through in a hurry by jim and the gang.

One says if you participate in girl sports you will have your genitals checked (no lie).

The second will arm teachers, turning them into peace keepers.

I had to teach my kid what it was to be American when we went over seas. They have signs that say things like "remember, check your ego, violence is not the answer". I remember turning to her and saying, "in America we celebrate egos."

The wife was getting in line to see the gardens and this uk old chicken head broad went balistic on us in a very UK way when she insisted she was in front of us (even tho no one was standing there,) And got belligerent whisper spreading "THEY CUT THE CUE!" in shock and horror.

The first problem I see when approaching this issue is you will never get anyone to change their minds calling them gun nuts and knuckle draggers while talking about a subject that they know more about than you do . The second is nobody I know including myself is going to listen to some philosophy professor and it doesn’t matter if they are pro 2a or against it .

There’s a reason I said nobody I know would listen to a philosophy professor . This is a man that has spent his whole life becoming overeducated in a field where he sits around and ponders why the world around him is like it is and then ignores inalienable rights , in order to fix a problem based on his subjective opinions . This is where I stopped reading ..

Except when it comes to a member of the ruling class. They can falsify... commit a felony, which is all out there for everyone to see.. and nothing is done. I guess it would be wrong for Puddinhead to imprison the smartest man he knows... because you know... rule of law and all.
