War in Ukraine

Fine Russian culture. Russia was into some of the finer points - like genocide, racial/ethnic cleansing, resettlement, reeducation well before the Nazis showed up. In fact, you have to wonder if the Nazis took some pointers on all that from the Russian model.
Or the British, French, Dutch, Belgian, American, etc. models.

At the end of WW2, Russians didn't just bother to steal the finished goods ... they boxed up the plants and took them as well. Maybe their manners are improving ... or maybe they just haven't had time to remove the fixtures.
I guess they're waiting for the fires to go out and the fixtures being cool enough to touch.

Per Time:

Kahl said it will take around three weeks for the U.S. and NATO to train the Ukrainians on HIMARS. “It’s important for them to get trained on the systems to get familiar with the systems,” he said. “We will be in a position to rapidly surge additional munitions as appropriate if the battlefield evolves.”

HIMARS is a wheel-mounted version of the track-mounted Multiple-Launch Rocket System (MLRS) that U.S. and NATO forces use in Europe. Each system fires six precision-guided rockets that will boost Ukraine artillery range by more than two-fold from the current 20 miles with the U.S.-provided M777 howitzers. This will be key in the Donbass where the war has become an artillery duel with the two nations exchanging fire each day.

I'll drop the cat fight when someone explains to me how and why the USA won't just be donating weapons.

Of course I'd like to see the underdog win. I just don't see any other way for Ukraine not turn into another 20 year war that ends up with Russian taking US weapons.

If America wants to, they'll wipe Russia off the face of Earth.
What would it matter if they ended up with every single piece of equipment we sent over there?

Ftr, my stance has only been to sell them, or others in an offset, weapons, not give.

But give or sell, why should the possible end result determine our reasoning? We/our government like Ukraine, they, right or wrong, want to support Ukraine. But shouldnt because they will probably lose?

The facts seem to indicate we care more about Ukraine than we fear Russia. That could easily be wrong, but it's what what we know implies.
