Just throwing this out there…what would y’all think if Tony swapped Russell and Becks batting spot hoping that would fire beck up before the sec tournament and get him going into Omaha?…ive been pondering on this for a minute and looking at his batting average as it stands I think it would be a good coaching move🤔 and since when has beam had a 8.53 ERA😅

Those aren’t correct stats. Beck is hitting around .290. He seems to be pressing a bit, but I’ve watched many games, and he’s also hit the ball hard right at fielders quite a few times.

If he’s half as good as Eric Berry was he will be a all American. I always rolled my eyes when people would claim Taylor Mays at USC was better than EB14

Yep.

The best college baseball team in decades and maybe ever. Would be nice if folks could enjoy a game at a time. Anything can happen and usually does in tournament play. Hope they go all the way, but if they don't I still know this is the best college baseball team I have ever seen.

Just stating something. I’m not worried but winning the CWS is difficult even if you are the best team.

I also didn’t mention this game so I think you are reading too much into my post.

Beck has not learned how to go opposite field with outside pitches. The opponents know it. He's still tries to pull it. Inside half of the plate he rips it. Outside half he whiffs, pops up or pulls to center occasionally. There are a lot of guys in the line-up that will go opposite field. Lipcius came out of his slump keeping his hands in and going opposite field. He now has his stroke back. Beck needs to learn to do the same and he will do better.
