War in Ukraine

More rinse and repeat from the usual crowd. Volgr is right. It is very difficult to have a reasonable discussion with you guys and gals.

So you are okay with authoritarianism in Ukraine as long as they don't invade another country?

Did you just invent an argument for him?

"Zelensky hasn't invaded a neighboring sovereign state"

"Oh well then, you're clearly you're OK with authoritarianism"

How did you get from a to b on that?

LOL, you're defending a guy who invaded a country on the premise of combatting Nazi's.

Given that - watching you bozos pretend to be victims of irrational arguments is friggin' hilarious.

Authoritarianism is authoritarianism. No matter how you want to justify it. Which you guys seem to be okay with it occurring in Ukraine.

Like I said. Zelensky is guilty of everything that you accuse Putin of.

You should be telling that to yourself and the other guys in here that throw around whataboutism whenever they are on the short end of an argument and can't explain what makes Ukraine unique from any other situation.

Oh, there are parallels. A couple of easy ones come to mind - like when Hitler rolled troops into neighboring countries in search of living room and resources. Or when the North Koreans rolled south into a more friendly and peaceful part of Korea. There are others obviously, but those two come to mind ... historical parallels mind you - not whataboutisms. Oh yeah, Iraq invaded Kuwait once recently, and China has eyes on Taiwan - likely just as an appetizer.

I see the hens have been let out of the hen house for the afternoon.

I have not defended Putin on anything LMAO. If you do not believe me that is fine. But I guess I do not have to believe people on here when they tell me they are moderate or libertarian either. Especially when their posts suggest otherwise.

I have stated that I believe Donetsk and Luhansk deserve to be independent states at this point. That in no way means I support Russia. I support the people of the Donbass region to be able to govern on their own.

Struggling in Ukraine, Russia paves way to sign up over-40s for army

LONDON (Reuters) -In a sign of Russia's urgent need to bolster its war effort in Ukraine, parliament said on Friday it would consider a bill to allow Russians over 40 and foreigners over 30 to sign up for the military.

The website of the State Duma, parliament's lower house, said the move would enable the military to utilise the skills of older professionals.

Russian version of Build Back Better? Feed us you old and tired and retired soldiers so we can build an old Army because these kids have no work ethic and just plain don't know what the hell they're doing,

It’s how his simple mind works. He cannot stay on track with his own diatribes

Authoritarianism exists in many countries around the world. The USA even does business with some of these nations.
Yes. But there are posters on here claiming they are against fascism, communism, national socialism, etc. Yet they support Zelensky's desire for an authoritarian state in Ukraine.

Everything?

Are you sure?

Is Zelensky using artillery to raze civilian neighborhoods in Russian towns?

One off? It's at least the 3rd barracks that has been hit, 2 of which were mass causality events. The other one just happened today, we'll see what casualty numbers are reported. Are you asking for a general ratio for the entire war or just the Donbas? Not that it really matters. I think currently, for the entire war, it is conservatively 4:1. If Russians were dying as much as you wrongly think, they would likely have had to mobilize by now. The fact they haven't is a good indicator that your ratio's are way off.

No one really knows what Ukraine losses are, including yourself for the reasons I gave in my last post. However, they are very high in the Donbas and have become increasingly high over the last month. There is no evidence to the contrary other than the ridiculous figures given by Ukrainian sources (that have also perpetrated a number of hoaxes and false stories to the extent they are no longer believable).

Dude, just stop.

You clearly:

(1) Don't know Jack Sh*t about wars; and
(2) Just make sh*t up because of your ignorance.

FWIW, UK has estimated Russia has lost 33% of its fighting force to date. Oryx has visually confirmed over 3K Russian vehicles removed to date.

And in any war, playing defense on your home turf is always easier than playing offense in a foreign land.

Russia is losing this war. Period.

I was convinced he was just trolling to start, but now I just think he's dumb.

Read that earlier. What a sick bastard. He gave his youngest daughter to a 56 yr old who knocked her up. Sick bastard.

not sure who it was, but some german bureaucrat was just ousted because of his putin relations.

They just do it inside their own country in the Donbass region. Are you okay with that?

Yeah. They've been fighting against the Russian sponsored terrorists in the Donbas (think vodka soaked ISIS in Adidas track suits.)

Not the same as leveling civilian neighborhoods.

But please, keep trying to equivocate - it's amusing.

That settles it. Ukraine does not need the 40 billion. See you should be proud that I listened to you.

Russia Rejects Pleas to Permit Grain Shipments From Ukraine

At the same time, Mr. Guterres and U.S. officials are exploring another possible route for Ukrainian grain exports: north by rail from through Belarus to the Lithuanian port of Klaipeda, U.S. officials say. As an incentive for Belarusian leader Alexander Lukashenko, officials are exploring a six-month waiver of sanctions on the country’s potash fertilizer industry, U.S. officials said. Washington imposed the potash-related sanctions last year in response to Belarus’s engineering of a migration crisis and its crackdown on domestic political opposition.
