It isn't your money comrade. Sad ruse is sad. They do have the means apparently. These Twitter, Reddit and Daily Kos links you guys provide are proving it. Plus all these Russian tanks are getting destroyed, generals being killed, and they can't even handle Ukrainian tractors. So it would just be a waste of our hard earned money.
Also, the guys in here need to be thankful that we have a moderate Putin in charge and not one of the alleged hardliners floating around behind him running the show over there, because it sounds like Putin is getting some rumblings about not going hard enough in Ukraine.
Let me save you the trouble. They would have been orchestrating it.If it was worked out beforehand you (and definitely Ras) would be whining about how it was a secret backroom deal orchestrated by the State Dept.
Just because it's not public doesn't mean there aren't any conversations going on. There was a lot of bachkchanneling gong on during the Cuban Missile Crisis. It was bachkchanneling that led to the agreement that ended the crisis. It often happens even when nothing is going on.Anyone have the most recent count of how long it's been since our top level State Dept people have initiated discussions with Russian counterparts for peace talks?
Oh I forgot, we love a proxy war to bring Russia to it's knees and so what if "short term consequences" happen.
Poor ba$tards. Their cocaine addicted actor of a President has already said they will be sacrificed. TO THE LAST UKRAINIAN!!!!
That's exactly what the pack of hyenas in here said about UK and Poland. They suggested I listen and I agree. Let those 2 countries handle it since like you said they can wipe the floor with them.Or, keep the $40 billion and just tell the UK and Poland to go in to Ukraine and end this mess. This is a European problem anyways, not one the US needs to concern itself with. They both should be able to handle the Ruskies outside of NATO Article 5 protections and wipe the floor with them.
There is no diplomatic solution while Putin remains in power. He's too far in. If he pulls his forces out now, it looks like total defeat, and he looks weak. Everything we know about his character says that is not an option. So unless there's a coup, diplomacy is useless.
And no one is "letting" Ukrainians die. They're being murdered by an invading force. I don't think Russia bothered to ask the rest of the world if it was okay to launch an assault on their neighbor.
I'm not sure what kind of diplomacy you think is going to get Putin to pull his troops out.
You've concluded no diplomacy would work. Fine if that's your opinion but we aren't even trying. What's the downside of trying to find a way to end this? He may be looking for a way out but we aren't even having the discussions.
