War in Ukraine

Is there or isn’t there?
I'm just repeating what you guys and gals have said. You all told me I need to listen more. So I'm using common sense here and coming to the conclusion that Blackburn is right. That 40 billion would just be a waste of money. I'm glad we have a highly intelligent Senator such as herself.

Lot of non answers from the Russia squawk box today.

This is the best question asked ... seems reasonable the Russia could be totally isolated by the free world and brought to its knees in short order... but no, bombs and more bombs seem to be the path to peace. Isolate those fuggers (totally) for a few months and things will change.
How do you isolate a country that is trading partners with China and India and covers 10 time zones?

They do have the means apparently. These Twitter, Reddit and Daily Kos links you guys provide are proving it. Plus all these Russian tanks are getting destroyed, generals being killed, and they can't even handle Ukrainian tractors. So it would just be a waste of our hard earned money.
Yes the do Curly! Our M777’s are laying down the pain woohoo!

Putin really has to be wondering at this point if the west is really just a paper tiger.
Also, the guys in here need to be thankful that we have a moderate Putin in charge and not one of the alleged hardliners floating around behind him running the show over there, because it sounds like Putin is getting some rumblings about not going hard enough in Ukraine.

Good luck with that. My guess is the people of Kherson, Crimea, Mariupol, Donbas, etc will find that life under Russia is much preferable to going back to life under Ukraine. Unless Western forces are deployed, those areas will be Russian.
But but but sovereignty and democracy... self-determination. Surely these guys wouldn't stand in the way of these places making their own decision about which side they chose...

No need to arm them. They are doing fine on their own. Plus you guys have said UK and Poland can handle Russia on their own if they chose to go that route. Let's put that 40 billion to good use here at home.
Or, keep the $40 billion and just tell the UK and Poland to go in to Ukraine and end this mess. This is a European problem anyways, not one the US needs to concern itself with. They both should be able to handle the Ruskies outside of NATO Article 5 protections and wipe the floor with them.

Sad that makes you happy. Let Ukraine deal with their own problems. Oh but wait, the US HAS to play world police because of red man.
Ukraine is dealing with their own problems. I’m not happy about it but since the bastards invaded and started this I am enjoying a little schadenfreude at the expense of the Russian Keystone Cops.

True. Russia has created shovel ready jobs for all of them in Mariupol. I bet they are totally stoked at Pootins build back better after bombing initiative.
