Tennessee is looking to claim its first series victory in Starkville since 2004. The Vols have only taken one of the last nine games played at Mississippi State

NOTABLE
Freshman Phenoms

Tennessee's freshman class has been nothing short of outstanding this season. The dominance and ability of the freshman class has been on full display in the SEC Weekly Awards. Entering the season, only eight Vols were named SEC Freshman of the Week since the award began in 2006. This season alone, seven Vols have earned SEC Freshman of the Week and five different play-ers have taken home those honors.

Fight at the Bat Rack
Tennessee leads the country in home runs (126) and slugging percentage (.605) while ranking inside the top 15 in runs per game (6th), total runs (4th), batting avg (14th), on-base percentage (5th), hits (15th), doubles (11th), triples (13th) and walks (3rd).

Commanding the Zone
UT couples its tremendous offense with superb pitching, leading the nation in ERA (2.32), WHIP (0.94), hits allowed per nine innings (6.05), walks allowed per nine innings (2.43) and strikeout-to-walk ratio (4.48), while also ranking seventh nationally in strikeouts per nine innings (10.9).

1-2 Nationally
Chase Dollander and Drew Beam enter the weekend series ranked No. 1 and No. 2 in the country in WHIP respective tallies of 0.76 and 0.80.

Has there been any updates on Jared Dickey?
Just 3 days ago: Tony Vitello with another update on Jared Dickey: He's moving around, throwing some. The next step would be to take some swings. It could happen next week. The next step would be hitting live pitching. We're making the climb, which is good. We were at a standstill for awhile. Jared has kept his arm in shape during his time away, and that he’ll hopefully face live pitching from teammates at some point this week to see if that foot’s ready for the postseason.

My guess is he will DH and Stephenson will play left field.

Any guess who will be the starting pitcher for tomorrow? I’m sure Tidwell will start Friday. I’m really thinking the coaches want Tidwell to start next Sunday in Hoover.

I haven't seen that many pop-ups since Pam Anderson walked by an all male middle school 30 years ago.

Ba-dum-pa.

A...thank you...thank you very much....tip your waitress.
Jogged by, imo.

That Baywatch intro video shoulda been banned. Set back "normal female" self-esteem by decades.

On a similar note....Pam Anderson is one of the most stunningly beautiful women I've ever seen......pre-surgery. Google some pics. Amazing natural beauty.

After all the work? Just another cookie cutter barbie bimbo look. Crying shame.

Hard to judge them at that age. He had a good swing, but was light.

Guarantee you that the heart and spirit were huge.
Can’t think of many I’d trade him for!
He’s the spark plug of this squad.
He brings the attitude and swagger!
GBO!!

I am surprised that the SEC Network is only carrying one game in this series.

I would love to see Tennessee get a sweep in Starkville this weekend as Tennessee has historically never had a whole lot of success there.

SEC Network is a disappointment in my book. The number 1 team, in conference, for most of the season, has not been on nearly enough....and what's with the "alternate" SEC channel? They never use it.
