NOTABLE
Freshman Phenoms

Tennessee's freshman class has been nothing short of outstanding this season. The dominance and ability of the freshman class has been on full display in the SEC Weekly Awards. Entering the season, only eight Vols were named SEC Freshman of the Week since the award began in 2006. This season alone, seven Vols have earned SEC Freshman of the Week and five different play-ers have taken home those honors.

Fight at the Bat Rack
Tennessee leads the country in home runs (126) and slugging percentage (.605) while ranking inside the top 15 in runs per game (6th), total runs (4th), batting avg (14th), on-base percentage (5th), hits (15th), doubles (11th), triples (13th) and walks (3rd).

Commanding the Zone
UT couples its tremendous offense with superb pitching, leading the nation in ERA (2.32), WHIP (0.94), hits allowed per nine innings (6.05), walks allowed per nine innings (2.43) and strikeout-to-walk ratio (4.48), while also ranking seventh nationally in strikeouts per nine innings (10.9).

1-2 Nationally
Chase Dollander and Drew Beam enter the weekend series ranked No. 1 and No. 2 in the country in WHIP respective tallies of 0.76 and 0.80.

ON DECK
The Vols head to Hoover, Ala. to begin postseason play at the SEC Championship starting Wednesday.
Thank you for the update.

Friday's time looks off. 6 CT and 8 ET are not the same.

I said it another thread and I will repeat here. Doolander for game 2 in SEC looks likely. I think with the State lineup now set, Blade gets game 1 in SEC and then Burns for game 3 and Beam for game 4.... hopefully championship game. Go Vols!

Then the blade🔪🔪🔪 gets game one next wk in hoover?

That's what makes the most sense from the MS State rotation, unless they want to throw Dolly after 6 days instead of the usual 7. One question I have is: Will they got Blade enough relief work this weekend to keep him tuned up for his Hoover start? Otherwise, it'll be a long time between starts.

I’m going out on a limb here but I’m predicting Blade is going to make a statement in post season.

She's a beauty. Will LNS be as nice when they get through with her rebuild?
No but it doesn't have to be. Keep the fans right on top of the action and just build steep all around. Make outside and concourses more fan friendly and you have the toughest place to play in all of college baseball. Parks like UK and Miss St and SC fans seem kinda far away from the field. I love our wild fans right on top of the action

Yeah, I like that too. We could keep that and still make it much nicer than it is. Continue the pattern already established further down each line, put an upper deck - or deck of sky boxes, and then a covering on top and we've got something.
