What's your metric/cut off for a small population?

At least as we consider things here most countries have very small minority populations.

Because I am doubting there is much of a difference between nations as you think when calling out Islamic nations.

Unless you are purely going religion. But in that case it's not much different.

Actually India's Muslim population is closer to 200 million. Only 2 countries have larger Muslim populations - Indonesia and Pakistan.

My cutoff - percentage not number. BTW I just read something appropriate in a book - has to do with pre WW2 German Jews and Palestine. The book is fiction, but with history mixed in - basically how Arabs, Jews, and Brits in Palestine didn't play well together. The pertinent comment from a Jewish leader calling Muslims religious extremists was: “No, we’re just fanatics. There’s a difference. We don’t expect God to be pleased if we blow someone’s head off. They do. That’s what makes them crazy.”

Well, duh. When you have a huge population - well over a billion people, a small percentage is still going to be a big number. That big number representing a minority population still isn't going to control the country's politics.

I honestly didn't realize the number was that big in India. I thought it was more along the 100 million number. But 14.5% of 1.35 billion is huge.

It is, but the message is that India tolerates Muslims far better than Pakistan tolerates Hindis or other non Islamic religion. India and Pakistan were partitioned to reduce political intolerance. Gandhi was opposed to the division based on religion, but then Gandhi was a pacifist, too.

The multitude of video's showing Ukraine trenches being bombed over the last several weeks would indicate Russian targeting is working quite well.
