How is that not targeting Us and Nico?

California law allows high schoolers to sign NIL deals. NCAA can't do anything about that. My understanding is his Spyre contract does not mention UT. If they try to sanction us, I expect the university would take it to court, and they would win.

Any athlete being paid NIL money is getting paid by boosters. NCAA cannot selectively target over something like this.

Exactly..from my understanding spyre is not associated with Tennessee. It was created by Tennessee alumni but it’s all funded by public donations.

I'm not gonna go Chicken Little over a toothless NCAA making threats they can't possibly enforce. Schools will sue them, and they can't afford multiple lawsuits from member institutions. They won't survive this if they attempt to put the genie back in the bottle.
