We’d need to know more about the terms of the deals to make that judgement IMO

From my point of view, there is practical business sense in Barnes angle.

Think about all the 5 star busts we’ve had in football the last 15 years. Imagine them getting big guaranteed deals upfront.

I think Barnes position is bad short term; but effective long term.

Right now, in the early stages of NIL, lots of places will overpay for prospects. That’ll all correct itself after people get burned enough.

Barnes IMO is advocating for performance based deals. Which again, IMO, is where this will all eventually head, but we are in the Wild West early days right now and that is just gonna take time before the industry matures

Players will leave if and when they feel like it. No incentive will change that.

I can agree with that. I still have My Own Prison stored away somewhere and it truly was a good album. They veered a good ways away towards a more commercialized sound after that.

Same. I remember buying a Tremonti PRS treble pickup and having it put in my Les Paul knock-off back in the day. I might remember the opening to My Own Prison if I tune my guitar to drop D...haven't done it in years.

I don’t remember the album right off but one song would be Creeds bread and butter then the next would be harder. Nothing wrong with it but your essentially dividing your fans. Add that in with Scott isn’t that kind of vocalist and you’ve created a problem.

I’ve been busy today and haven’t seen the board. But a friend sent someone’s ranking of top 50 friendliest college football coaches and Heupel was 40th. What a ridiculous poll.

I joked in line on Tuesday night that Heupel needed to learn to trim down his conversations because his line took the longest, lol. Dude was chatting it up with everyone and asked my son about which sports he plays.

Not many small ball teams go down 2 going into the 7th and find a way to win...especially by 13 like we did against Auburn.

If/when we lose in the CWS because of that monster stadium and the wind blowing in causes our normal bombs to be long fly ball outs and we lose 3-2 to some team that has less power but more speed and OBP to go with good pitching and defense...then maybe you guys will understand the great need to be able to put together some base hits and manufacture some runs when you need to.
