Funny..the Abrams is around 40 years old and I believe less than 20 have actually been destroyed in combat..and that was fighting the 4th largest army in the world..twice. Lol Russia you so turrible...your tank KDR is like my Battlefield 2042 KDR, awful.

edit - around 600 have had to been repaired from combat, but less than 30 outright destroyed during combat.

So, big news of the day is our boys in the steel mill (along with an estimated 500 civilians) were hit hard with bunker busters. MOABS, FOABS, Vacuum, or thermobolics. All contact was lost as of late this morning, but ze Orcs have reportedly entered the plant. We fear the worst, but they were the Best of Men, Women, and Children.... and the Best of Warriors if true.

Next comment (to save space), new missile warships from russia appearred in the black sea, and an offense seems to be taking place tonight. Many reported missiles.

Third: I have to ask, when exactly is pootin going under the knife reportedly? I would imagine they would launch some kind of offensive to mask it.

B-52 Tested 2,000lb Quickstrike-ER Winged Standoff Naval Mines During Valiant Shield

Quickstrike and Quicksink. I tell ya...in a near peer all capital visible assets will be destroyed in some hyper war. I have always been a carrier proponent, but starting to back off. Just think one B-2 pass could wipe out 160 armored column with SDB's. Just insane.

We needed carriers back when we couldnt get air everywhere. Now you can run tankers and get just about any aircraft anywhere. Would major suck for the crew, but in a war setting not much to complain about.

The price tag starts to out carriers into the Battleship Paradox. They are too important to risk losing.

The thing about a CBG is they have to be perfect in defense and the enemy doesn't. only a matter of time before the CCP has the tech, if not already.
Industrial espionage is a huge factor in all this. We spend trillions to field such, and yet they get it at the same time and minimal effort. Much under appreciated major issue..IMO

I dont get it..we spend trillions to counter the CCP yet still act like they are not a threat in any manner regarding trade and such, and we get rear ended on both sides. It would be like having this massive trade relationship with the USSR during the CW. Frankly DC and their corporate interests in trying to export "democracy" is yet another failure. The biggest ever.

In a peer fight every capital ship we have within strike range gets popped along with our GPS sats. Subs would probably be the safest naval ship to be on.
