Yeah, I'm not going to have much pity on someone that attacks the innocent. This guy got what he deserved.

I just wish that homeowners and business owners would be given the same level of power as the cops or these guys when engaging with a fleeing suspect.

Violent people generally run when they stab people, sometimes they stab someone else. When they run, it’s hard to get bullets to curve around and hit them in your approved areas. What difference does it make where they’re shot once they’ve proven they will maim people and will probably do it again to the next person they encounter?

I’m tending to think this one that got shot was not the brightest bulb on the street to try to steal a gun from a concealed carry class. From there it just went sideways, as expected.

All good points. When I first said they should be prosecuted I didn’t have the whole story, now I do. I still think it’s a questionable shoot.

Let's get back to the point I am wanting to drive home. Why can't homeowners and business owners get this same courtesy when they are attacked? The only reason this particular situation may get glossed over is because the police were involved and these gunowners helped in the pursuit. What would have happened if the cops were not there and this guy had broken in to someone's home?

They do. Homeowners defend themselves regularly and don’t get charged

Here you go with "the law" again. I'm talking about the decision by a DA or prosecutor to simply be able to look at the totality of the situation and make a measured decision with that in mind or jury nullification if a prosecutor overcharges unjustly in a particular situation.
