Agreed. As coach for many years I laways taught my hitters not to get cheated with less than 2 strikes. On those 3 (3 straight - another no-no)pitches we looked like we were taking defensive 2 strike swings.

We took pitches with 2 strikes when it’s time to get defensive. Different scenarios, different approaches. Taking the first pitch isn’t the same as taking the 4th or 5th when you’re down in the count.
